My opinion of course. And i im not alone in this opinion.

When Nintendo is consistently making games that are getting weak why defend it. Lets GO pikachu is a Genuinely Dumbed down ,mechanics removed reskinned game, admit it as a copy pasted game, why defend it just because the name 'pokemon'??? Why defend it using the excuse 'its meant for kids'

Fire Red / Leaf Green is made for kids+ grown up so how's that a valid excuse??? the companies are looking to cash in on their popular pkmn GO that's that, easy money just like the eyes of EA, like Activision, Like Bethesda/ Blizzard. If you curse these companies, why should Nintendo be off the hook??

I dont hate nintendo, i dont hate Sony i own both consoles. First, lets put all this 'Consoles' aside, just look at the games.

Last year Nintendo Got LAZY, made few games dumbed down from its previous entries, didnt make no games and just port them, charged full price for them, allowed crapload of indies and shovelwares into their digital storefront and call it 2018.

Thats not how it was in 2017, they shown something new innovative and delivered it thoroughly. They've shown Massive AAA quality games after Botw comes Odyssey then Xenoblade 2.....then Theres Metroid 4, Bayonetta 3 at TGA 2017 all are powerhouses with dedicated fanbase.

What about 2018... first in july...Smash!!! Then comes E3.. Smash!!! Then another direct specially made for Smash.....and even until TGA 2018.....Smash. they need 4 events for ONE 'fighting' game!!???

Its hard to explain but fighting game is really not that immersive IMO, i can be playing SMASH with my friends, Swapped the game to DBZ fighterZ and equally had FUN something like that.

You were letdown but refuse to accept it. Lets GO/ Kirby can be played with your eyes closed. M.party / Smash are heavily reliant on friends. Octopath is bland AF in its plot. Even the ports are bugged, incomplete and lazy. The rest are games that i could play more portably on my smartphone.

Why you all denying the underwhelming performance frm Nintendo last year, almost every games that i bought and enjoyed was on other systems like GOW / Spiderman / RDR2 with RE2 and KH3 being next in line. When these games appeared in TGA 2018 im not one bit surprised, cept for xenoblade 2 not winning best soundtrack. Nothing i bought frm Nintendo Wowed me. And im not alone in it.

Nintendo merely pulled a one off wonder in 2017. And now its turning back to its Wii U roots.

@Mrtoad i trashed them all 5 yr old kiddies with my perfect IVs Team non hacked.

If these indies's not going to be ported to the Gameboy Advance, then im not buying any of it.

I WAS excited until i saw their games last year. Is Fire Emblem / pokemon 2019 going to be made for kids AGAIN??? I am getting wary of it........ill let the reviews speak.

Lol, 35Mil?? Dont spill numbers frm your imagination. And even 35 mil, like i said if this year Nintendo is all about indies / mobiles, it will become stagnant at 40mil. Have you seen RE2? Its looking reaaally good 10/10. Smash LoL i misplaced it somewhere already. Once you unlocked every character? What is there to do when yr friend not around??

On the other hand im still clocking in the 200++ hrs in RDR2.

@gortsi brother, Nintendo only sold 22 mil worldwide, there is still a possibility for it to sell just a measly 30-40 mil and capped.

When i played their games especially last year Pkmn LessGo / Kirby and Smash Bro, all i can think of is MEH unlike Botw / Odyssey and Xenoblade. Nintendo better buckle up this year, if all they had again is PORTS / INDIES and MOBILES or turning their IP into 'For 5yr Old Children', then yes it will plummet like the Wii U.

@dazzleshell no im not 10 yrs old, else i would have loved pkmn Lets Go to death, but sadly it belong to the trashcan. I rather play Fallout 76. At least i loled in that game and preferred it that way than falling asleep and having the N switch fall in my face.

See how some of those mediocre Nintendo titles hold when RE2 remake / KH 3 hits the market.

@Heavyarms55 I realised Nintendo is selling their 2018 games relying on their IP / Brand name alone. Seriously Kirby, Pokemon, Mario U, Smash Ultimate all had mediocre gameplay but top selling just because of its brand. Is Nintendo going to use 'for kiddies' for the rest of their IPs??

Smash is a fighting game in general. Its meant for multiplayer, competition, meetups, parties how much depth can it have?. Its fun in short burst of game session solo or with friends. Short burst, fun but nothing amazing.

If you put smash 4 and smash Ultimate side by side, theres no difference. Its nothing you never played before. Only more characters.

Even a bogus, unplayable no connection pokemon GO event managed to attract insane number of crowds.......

The NDS games library is legendary balancing both 1st and 3rd parties titles alike. GBA comes 2nd. No way in hell they ranked lower than N.switch. Switch and 3ds are seriously lacking 3rd parties support.

Pkmn Lets Go should be the last of them all. Its too shallow in its content from gameplay all the way to storytelling.

Damn even the pokemon rangers / Mystery dungeons spinoffs are better than it by a landslide.At least in those games theres a 'plot' !!!.

I wonder what 2019 pokemon gonna be like?? Assets reused, same copy pasted world with a new skin, paywalled, MTXes, lootboxes, gachas, full of pointless gimmicks, Luck based RNG combat, online only.......... Botw style pkmn?? Lol gamefreak from what i see since sun and moon leading to THIS lets GO BS.....they are far from such feats. Masuda made the right decision, leave the company for good.

$60 - $80 for a game that revolves around shaking a controller to throw a ball. The star/show stopper of the game...wave your hand to throw A BALL!!!!!

If you grind pokemon just by moving around battling randoms creature you encounter...you will end up with a subpar lvl 99 pokemon. I can do that too...have zigzagoons pickup a ton of rare candies and pump its level all the way. But sadly thats a lvl 99 pokemon i could easily trash in online battle.

Know that the mainline series has a deep hidden pokemon raising mechanics...which were Removed 100% in this pikachu lets go........

Team building, Ev Training, skillset combos, IV breeding are all chores, go thru it and be rewarded with a pokemon only You will own. Just like how you build your decks from your favourite trading cards game. Spend time, think, strategize and finally having fun experimenting with your builds.

But of course casuals wouldnt grind their brains...all they need is a simple mindless screen swiping ball throwing game...like flappy bird...mindless, simple reflexes game...simple games like fruit ninja just slice fruits by swiping the screen.or cut a rope with it and it goes on......

After all that backlash..........facepalm. Welp the number of casuals in this world exceeds gamers....

@Frenean wrong people are mad about Diablo immortal / I am Mad about pkmn Lets Go not because we waited too long for it to be annouced or released.

Its because the fear of our game developers losing touch with us. These devs thought WE wanted a mobile game.Gamefreak thought WE preferred pokemon GO over the mainline series because all they do is basing on the sales figures of these mobile games instead of what fans wished for.

Thus developers tend to innovate leaning towards these mobile gaming trends.

I dont need to play the game to voice my opinion. What the fans felt at Blizzcon 2018 Diablo is exactly what I felt for this game.its an off season April fools joke. Nobody played diablo immortal yet no?

Technically speaking I HAD played the game in pokemon yellow. I HAD played Pokemon GO. I HAD seen some lets plays videos of pokemon lets go. Didnt like it.. its a pain..my eyes bleed and i CAN give a negative review about it. Alas you make the final decision. Also there are troll 0/10 review of course but at the same time there are troll 10/10 reviews as well.

The user scores in Metacritic are well balanced IMO despite the claims of trolls alike.

Yeah keep on review bombing this game till it gets a 0/10. I support this doing from trolls and serious game reviewer alike.

Its bad enough if game developers did nothing to innovate their games, but here they decided to dumb it down and cut off existing content further and also inserting useless gimmicks into the game,
Just to please casual gamers. They are basically taking shortcuts with less effort made and hoping to cash in on the 'pokemon' brand itself.

They want newcomers of course, but there are ways to do it without dumping off their existing fanbase!!!

Modern gaming is full of crap. Devs are going to smartphones now!!. Why must it be a port? The gba is weaker compared to ps2, games still came for it. The nds is weaker to the ps3..yet games still came out for it.....the switch is weaker to the ps4........oh crap.... there will be NO games because its weak.....................................Wtf devs????

Im not swearing at you, im swearing at the game in general. Yeah im salty, i dont get what game companies are thinking these days, sure they wanted to attract more new audience to their games and make easy money but it doesnt mean they have to dump their long time fans in the process. Its happening now too with blizzard and thier diablo IP......

I know this is not a mainline pokemon game, but i fear now that mainline games are going to take references based on this casualised version of it depending on its success. The worldbuilding in this game is exactly the same like the gba game!! Just except they pasted a more fancy skin over it. This is not innovation. All they do is add gimmicks to an old gba game polish its graphics and thats it. What happen if pkmn 2019 was like this as well??

Im really negative about what nintendo has done to this beloved franchise but oh well ultimately ill vote with my wallet and be hopeful we see a AAA pkmn game in 2019.

You dont need to teach little kids how to throw something. Yes you need throw a pokeball thats how you catch pokemon... but the pokemon core gameplay has always been the intense competitive battles and teambuilding.

this is why combining pokemon GO was a complete turnoff. Traditional Pkmn is all about exploring /collecting/ team building and pvp. Who was the idiot who think 'throwing' pokeball was fun?? I dont play the entire pokemon game with the majority of my time throwing pokeballs in style....isnt that what a typical mobile game is like???

I think pkmn sun and moon is lacklustre compared to XY. Alola is pretty bland. The world design is lacking detail, ugly roads, ugly buildings, ruins and caves....etc and slow combat. I actually liked XY.

After sun..i never bought Ultra sun and moon and i am alrdy dead set on not buying the new lets go.

Why does having no games to play on the switch bother you? Didnt you just mentioned the list of ps4 games you bought?? Play those and seal your N.switch away until their games arrive. If it was such a letdown sell it off.

Nothing since octopath? Sure go play AC odyssey, RDR 2 and based on the list of games you mentioned, i suggest you start off with tomb raider......

Yeah thats alot of games you bought on your ps4 within the months. So how about you take those "time" to complete each and every one of your games now instead of waiting for Nintendo to release theirs.....and dont forget your backlogs too. Have you platinumed spiderman? GOW?

By the way RDR 2 is easily a 300hrs game and im still playing it now and enjoying every moment of it. If anything to me... Nintendo pls not release anything until i get RDR 2 done.

Pokemon lets go is a goner. Many seemed uninterested, not even veteran/competitive pokemon gamers.i get the vibe that the devs in gamefreak is getting more incompetent.

Combining the elements of pokemon GO is the first turn off.Combining with elements from the pokemon "anime" puts the final nail in the coffin for me. This will be the 2nd pokemon game i will not be buying with the first being Ultra Sun and moon.

RDR2 is magnificent. Rockstar had set a new benchmark. This is the type of game i expect from next gen consoles - ps5 and xbox 2 x.

Why is this such a big of a headline? Everywhere on gaming site is informing this news.Isnt it obvious enough the switch couldnt run it and secondly no one asked for an online MMO on the system.

For the 4 years ++ time i own a ps4...this is all i have.....
1) persona 5.
2) nier automata
3) tales of berseria

Getting dq 11 and still on the fence with NNK2. Also do note that ive played Trails series / YS 8 / ff remakes and remasters /vanillawares on my psVita. So no im not double dipping.

its basically 3 exclusive games for me for 4 yrs+++ and its underwhelming.

Because maybe their lifestyle didnt put them in some of our position otherwise the very fact that they utilise their smartphone frequently over their home consoles should at least tell them portability meant something.

I dont play my ps4 when lying flat on my bed with the lights off, As simple as that. I play with my phone which can easily be supplemented with a portable game console.

If i buy it on my PS4.... i can play it once or twice a week. Like i said my tv is shared and my time is limited. What can i accomplish in a AAA Rpg in a short 2 hrs sessions? Twice a week.

If i buy it on Nintendo Switch.... i play it everyday because its convenient. Thats the difference. I dont have all day at home because work + family.

To those people who kept saying the ps4 is better, ps4 is better, 60fps blah blah blah or whatever the hell it is....... i get it. YES of course the home console is OBVIOUSLY better........

I decide on the switch ver because i can play it on my bed, because i am not rich i own one TV and my family is using it most of the time. I also decide on a switch ver because i cant play my PS4 OVERSEAS. And to top it off im working a 12hr shift system. The only time i game is at the bare minimum.......2hrs before bedtime. Thats it. I would have stopped gaming completely if not for portable devices. I no longer have a good 5 - 6 hrs on the living room couch since i started working.

Anyone know if this game is confirmed to be 60 fps. There an article by gameinformer whereby the journalist claimed it to be.

The japanese version is 30fps only no?
