Well, Miyamoto said he'd never heard of Ratchet and Clank. He thought it was a PC game.
Now back on topic: this game looks very very good graphics wise and the gameplay seems to be of the "Mario 64" mold which is always great. Still waiting for a price point and release date.
I rented The Beatles: Rock Band upon release, finished all the songs in 4 days and... didn't really like it. I might get it eventually once it's $10-15 down the road but the fact that it's a RB game and the drums aren't properly represented sorta puts me off.
One month of Wii energy consumption (taken at about two hours per day) equals a week of energy consumption from the 360 and the original PS3. My electrical bill can prove that.
Loved the first one. Only change I need is for checkpoints in levels because getting 100% on the usually took 1-2 hours of constant playing (with the odd 3 hour level).
And for those complaining about no VC: Go create a Club Nintendo account, register your Wii, link it to your Club Nintendo account and then email Nintendo so they can add your Wii Shop Channel purchases made prior to you doing all of the above. If you've bought VC games, then on the "What do you think about the Virtual Console Service" question, answer that you think it's great but that more games need to be released. If several of us do that then they'll get the message.
I own the original cart and the DS remake so this release isn't for me but for everyone else the 800 points asking price is very much worth it. Nintendo could have charged 1,000 points due to all the content in the game but they did the right thing.
So basically if you're white, play with a black t-shirt, againts a red background and with two light-bulbs, one to your left and one to your right, the game is worth the 500 points?
Well, the Bit.Trip. series has been great so far and to see this one go so high means they have a lot of work to do to finish this trilogy and meet the fans expectations.
I'm currently playing Red Steel 2 since I got it as a gift on the weekend and it's a very good looking game and it plays very good as well since you can customize the control as much as you want until you feel it's just right.
I paid $60+Tax for FFIV and $80+Tax for FFVI when they released on the SNES. Getting the full FFIV: The After Years comes to a little over $40. That's great value for all the game time your getting out of it.
It's may 2010 and I'm still playing the game. I find it better to give it a go for 10-20 minutes at a time every now and then since it makes the game feel refreshing and a change of pace from whatever I was playing before it.
Well, I've owned a Gameboy, a Gameboy Color, a Gameboy Advance, a Gameboy Advance SP, a Gameboy Micro, a DS, a DS Lite and a DSi. Always found something extra that merited the change. Still own my Color, Micro and SP and currently own a DSi since launch which has given me a lot of fun thanks to the DSiware releases and is worth it to get one. Go for an XL at the moment and wait for the 3DS to have a big enough library by April-May 2011.
@StarFox: You Didn't like Kirby Super Star? But, it's many, many games in one! The Treasure Hunter one makes the 800 points asked be worth it all by itself.
It's weird that Nintendo releases Kirky Super Star on the Virtual Console since they've also got the remake version out there on DS but it's great for those that want to see what the original played like since there were some changes made here and there. Actually own the original on a SNES cart and the DS remake.
I have yet to get all Star Wars SNES games as well as Indiana Jones Greatest Adventures and another 4 SNES, 2 Genesis and 2 TG-16 games but at the moment my games budget is missing so they'll have to wait until either I get some store credit or get a points card as a gift.
Since the DS carts are out of printint getting them could be a problem for those new to the series. I got all of them at launch so I'm set, but for the asking price it's a very good value on Wiiware.

I have them backed up on a PC on a folder in case the SD card decides to die, and have them also burned to a CD in case the PC dies and on a USB unit, and so on. Sure, I can only play it on the Wii I got it but my NES still runs after 25 years and if something were to happen Nintendo could transfer my purchases to a new Wii. Having to someday pay $100 for a new Wii and a small nominal transfer fee doesn't seem like much. They were still servicing NES units until a year or two ago...

Loved the first one. Only change I need is for checkpoints in levels because getting 100% on the usually took 1-2 hours of constant playing (with the odd 3 hour level).
Re: Nintendo is Clearly Not in Greenpeace's Good Books
Nintendo doesn't provide information to Green Peace and, therefore, they "flunk" their test by default.
Re: Review: Real Crimes: Jack the Ripper (DSiWare)
Well, 800 Points for a point and click "find the objects" game that I like and my wife absolutely loves? Seems like a good option.
Re: Sonic Colours to Brighten Up DS and Wii
Well, more to come at E3 I'm sure. Maybe they'll release this a week or two after Episode 1?
Re: Review: Robin Hood: The Return of Richard (WiiWare)
Thanks for the review. Since it's a shooter I was considering getting it but after this it's definitely NOT going to be added to my collection.
Re: Super Mario Galaxy 2 Players Already Super-Skilled and Super-Fast
After seeing the video again and finding the little nuances of jumping/dismounting/mounting on Yoshi it has to be said that it's aaaall skill.
Re: Nintendo Download: 24th May 2010 (North America)
Art Style: Light Trax it is then.

Re: Man Who Sold Modded Wiis Was In It for the Money
Ah, what greed and stupidity do for people these days...
Re: New Making of Jett Rocket Blog Opens
They've said that the full game is huge and compressed into the 40 MB Wiiware limit. Go figure. Here's a copy of the post:
For the curious, here is a brief summary of the the
uncompressed size of the used data in Jett Rocket:
245mb textures
160mb geometry and shaders
140mb music
73mb sfx
8mb fonts
3.5mb particles
500kb script code
151kb localization
That's a lot compressed into just 40 MB.
Re: Review: A Topsy Turvy Life: Turvy Drops (DSiWare)
For 200 points I'll give it a go. Even if it's only fun for an hour, 2 bucks per hour is a great deal.
Re: Hiroshi Yamauchi Gives Millions to Cancer Treatment Hospital
80 million to fight cancer. Kudos to Yamauchi.
Re: New Making of Jett Rocket Blog Opens
Looking forward to the game. I'd pay up to 1,500 points for this game considering what we'll end up getting.
Re: Some Sort of Wii Remote Gets a Recent Approval From the FCC
Could be it includes WM+, could be that it's just a revision on the inner chips or board.
Re: Review: Frogger Returns (DSiWare)
Might be fun to have on your DSi for those moments when you want to play for 5-10 minutes.
Re: Nnooo's Next Game Makes You a Spirit Hunter
Maybe they'll learn from the mistakes made by the creators of System Flaw.
Re: Digital Leisure Gets on the WiiWare Decks with Mix Superstar
Mmm, seems interesting. 1,000 points release maybe?
Re: Review: Blood Beach (WiiWare)
And they have the nerve to charge 1,000 points for it!
Re: Review: Kirby Super Star (Virtual Console / Super Nintendo)

$34.95 that I won't have the budget for until at least november. Still, I'll be getting it then.

Re: Australia, Only You Can Own this Awesome Travis Touchdown T-Shirt
That's a great t-shirt and the fact that you get it just from pre-ordering is even better. Too bad we didn't get anything like that over here.
Re: Review: Spotto! (DSiWare)
Trajectile is a very good game as well and plays differently from Spotto.
Bought Spotto and finished it in a week but oh what a great week it was.
Re: Review: Flipper (DSiWare)
I recently replayed the game and I'm on "highscore" hunting for the moment which should be fun.
Re: Review: Save the Turtles (DSiWare)
Been enjoying it since launch and I usually play a level or two every day.
Re: Review: Pop Them, Drop Them SameGame (WiiWare)
It's fun for small game sessions and a great way to train brain-wise.
Re: Review: Final Fantasy IV: The After Years (WiiWare)

Re: Review: Eco Shooter: Plant 530 (WiiWare)
Love on-rails shooters and getting this one on Wiiware is just great. Shootanto (500 points) is good as well for those interested.
Re: Review: GhostSlayer (WiiWare)
Having Wii Motion+ makes a huge difference in this game and it's always great to see more games support it. Definitely worth the 600 points.
Re: First Impressions: Are? DS ga Sakasa Desu Kedo. Sakasa Drops
And it was just released on the Americas for the same 200 points price drop. I'll be sure to give it a try.

Re: Nintendo and American Heart Association Team Up to Promote Healthy Living
Mmm, I was hoping for something on the Vitality Sensor but I guess THAT announcement will have to wait for E3.
Re: Review: Brain Drain (DSiWare)
So, that's a no then? Bad game? But, the screens make it look so exciting!
Re: Review: Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Trials & Tribulations (WiiWare)
Since the DS carts are out of printint getting them could be a problem for those new to the series. I got all of them at launch so I'm set, but for the asking price it's a very good value on Wiiware.
Re: Nintendo "Happy with Virtual Console Pricing"
@Klapaucius: I said "invested" because to me having all my Virtual Console and Wiiware on a 16 GB SD card is an investment for the future because it feels like something I'd want to see my kids playing with many, many years in the future.
