@Compeau I think the c-stick shows up as the controller addon (that i forget the name of) for older games so if the game supports that, it probably supports the c-stick. (Don't shoot me if im wrong )
Loved the demo. Went from quite interested to exited about this title. I like both action games and turnbased strategy games that lets me think about a problem, this feels like a great blend of both. Love the clever gameplay of this title.
@NbaJunkie Well to put it this way: if the F-Zero track doesn't have any antigrav stuff, they are officially idiots
I suspect they save this feature for where it works both thematically and with the layout. I for one is happy that they didn't just shoehorn it into every single map.
You make some valid points, but consider that Nintendo has a history of releasing a lot of their downloadable content on disk too (Like the luigi U game), so you might be able to either get a "DLC Disc" or a "Gold edition" of MK that contains all of these add-ons in the case of the system "going retro" as it where.
Also games releasing with additional content for payment, is nothing new. We had expantion packs as far back as doom and quake. DLC is in its propper form (Not the on disc bullpoopoodoodoocacapoopledoople) is just the modern take on this, and makes a lot more sense now seeing as making additional content to a modern game takes a lot more money and hours of work to do.
I'm fine with the DLC model, if it means i can get more content for my games and enjoy them longer.
Would your position be the same if it where free? - i would imagine so with your whole "the game is not complete" rationale?
I would be standing with my pitchfork out, yelling "burn the witches", if i felt the original game was somehow lacking and you needed the DLC to get a propper game, but as it stands, this is simply not the case.
Could we have a trend where a company filing these kinds of lawsuits are considered to be in desperate need of profits and their stocks dumped by shareholders?
@cheleuitte As a mochup and proof of concept i think it will be ok. But if the project goes any further and does any form of release it might be a different story.
@mike_intv Its a carefully worded tweet. Note that he says "depending on how it works on the system" They probably don't know what the patching/ patch submission process on the wiiU is yet, and don't want to make promises they can't keep. Seeing as other devs, have released patches, I say this is going to happen.
So... are they having a hard time optimizing frostbite 3 for the WiiU architecture then? and they said all those other things so they wouldn't "look bad"?.... ٩(͡๏̯͡๏)۶
I find it baffling that there are so few official lines of communication in companies like these, that they have to go putting out fires all the time.
This confirms what i allways expected, that you will be able to make a webbased mediacenter-server that you can run on your computer to access videos, it will even in theory be possible to have the computer convert to mp4 on the fly.
I think alot of people that see 3d as an effect to realize enough how 3d helps the mind understand shape, distance and spatial relations of objects, it can really add to the feel and gameplay of games, letting the mind make more accurate judgement calls.
About the cords: It has been stated that current "prototypes" and "developer" versions of the tablet has a cable for communication but that the final product will be wireless. I would assume that going for the wired models in an environment like E3 would be wise not only because they would need a tether and PSU anyways, but also due to interference. Remember we are talking a pretty dense stream of HD data here, so several consoles sending the same type of data, and other sources of interference could quickly give unwanted results.

Suddenly that "never burn bridges" comment looks awfully ironic, eh?

For me the clunky controls where a part of the challenge. This game works best with a friend, when its a frantic race to the top.

This is probably not deliberate, but just an unforeseen consequence of code updates on the you tube page.
Re: Wii U Can Stream MP4 Videos Directly From Your Computer
Would be cool if some developer is allowed to create custom software for the wiiU for mediaplayback, though.
Re: Wii U Can Stream MP4 Videos Directly From Your Computer
There are actually severall such programs out there, though i expect none of them have wii u- optimized settings or user-interfaces.
