I didn't play it, but I know Cece and Viche come from Happy Home Designer and they dressed up like Callie and Marie back then. They're not new.
However, I've read that their personalities were peppy and normal respectively. Shiver is snooty and Frye is peppy. Shouldn't their personalities change to reflect that? They changed other villagers' personalities.
Still can't help but crack up at the Big Man bench! I don't know what animal would best represent him, but a Big Man villager could've been doable.
I miss when Luigi's Mansion was actually a little genuinely spooky. The title screen and menus set the mood perfectly. The "blowing out the candles" cutscene. Things like Luigi humming in pain and screaming Mario's name when he's low on health. The creepy designs of the enemy ghosts. Memorably dark ghosts like Chaunsey, Bogmire, and Sue Pea. The blackout event. And then THAT final boss battle that takes place on top of a replica of the mansion in a hellish dimension. Yikes.
I just don't see Nintendo making another Luigi's Mansion like this again, but I want to be wrong so much!
Wow, they’re actually doing it. This means there won’t be a new game for a long time, but I’ll take it. Love the Splatoon collab. Cece and Viche shall both be mine! Too bad Big Man is just a chair…
I had just started over on Switch 1 not that long ago. Good thing it was still very early. Might as well bring the game to Switch 2 now to get an early start before the new year.
Hard to believe it's been a year already for Nintendo Music, too. I've enjoyed listening to it at work and when driving. Don't worry, I still drive responsibly when Mario Kart or F-Zero is playing! I even go to bed with it, which is perfect alongside my Alarmo.
It's the drip-feed I don't like. Even with just first party Nintendo games, they've got a long way to go, and there's some surprising year-long omissions like Zelda Majora's Mask, Super Metroid, no Xenoblade music yet, or half of Splatoon 3's OST still missing. Otherwise, I'm happy with it.
I’d hope so considering it’s been over five years since Seven Sirens and Risky Revolution isn’t actually new. Looks like Risky might be playable next time.
I’ll gladly take an in-game music player for now, even a custom one that allows us to play a track anywhere in Free Roam or an online lobby. Compared to Nintendo’s other Switch 2 games like Donkey Kong, both Kirby games and even the Mario Galaxy ports having music players, with DK and the upcoming Kirby Air Riders even getting a few tracks released on Nintendo Music, nothing being done for this game’s OST is scandalous.
Finally, I haven’t played the original in years, just the 3DS remake. I’ll wait until tomorrow night to actually start playing and then finish the game on Halloween night. My GCN controller is ready!
What’s going to be really nice about this on Nintendo Classics is that we can use save states and rewinding to practice sucking up portrait ghosts. Nana, Slim Bankshot and the Clockwork Soldiers always give me a hard time.
The first New Super Mario Bros. was pretty nifty back when it was actually new and fresh. Here are my top five. 1. Staff Credits 2. Castle Theme 3. Volcano Theme 4. World 7 5. Underwater Theme

Re: Zelda: Breath Of The Wild Soundtrack Is Scoring A Gorgeous Vinyl Release Next Year
Not into vinyls, but I would love to see more CD soundtracks outside Japan. I still listen to music like it’s the 2010’s!
Re: YouTube Is Working With Nintendo To Make Its App Available On Switch 2
Yeah, I thought it would’ve come quite a while ago. I’ll still use it on Switch 1, at least for handheld, but it’s nice to have more options.
Re: Two Classic Donkey Kong Icons May Soon Join Bananza As Unlockable Figures
Cool, Tiny and Candy should be coming at some point then. I'll even hope for Kiddy!
I'm surprised Funky isn't in the game. You'd think he would fit right in with Ingot Isle.
