Again, I watched Zit worth it. Where the guy shows and explains that you're doing all the same time stuff over and over again, that's been going on for years.
He shows a part where you have to collect a piece, rewind time, play it back and collect another piece. So that there's 2 of you on screen at once.
That's the same thing you had to do in Blinx.
And my comments aren't negative.
I'm saying that it does nothing new. That's not negative.
I'm saying that it looks like Blinx. Not negative.
I'm saying that personally, it doesn't look as good as Toki. That's not negative.
Lost Winds sucks. Now THAT'S negative
As I've already said, I'll try the demo when I can.
I really hate it when games with artistic looks come out, and everyone says that it's something new.
LW did nothing new. It's basically Kirby Canvas with tacked on Wii controls. Only Kirby had an interesting story and fun gameplay.
Braid as aforementioned is Blinx and LW.
And Echochrome was one of my most wanted games until I played the demo. However it's not new.
I hated the controls and the camera. And for a game like that, they've got to be spot on.
As for time games, what's the point?
If you give people a reverse time option the game becomes far to easy (POP, Blinx, that awful 360/PS3 Time game etc...). If you boast about being able to control time as a feature but then put a limit on it, it's not really a useful feature, nor is it really a feature at all.
I can't wait for LBP to hit, although like 99% of everything released this gen, it'll look amazing but play terrible. Or be easy. Or be boring. Or have tacked on crap that'll ruin it. Or be amazing but then the console will die wiping your data as you reach the last level.
Everyone said that LW was amazing and while it has great controls & graphics, it's boring.
This looks like Blinx crossed with LW.
I hated Blinx too. I'll try the demo at some point, but I don't hold out much hope as after watching Zit worth it. I learned all I needed to know about it.
I wish I could say that I was sad, but frankly IMO the game looked terrible. So I'm happy as WW has far to much shovelware as is. While EC is still hitting, it means no sequels or owt else should be coming.
@ Draygone.
The way some WWW scores have been handed out, IGN, GS, 1up etc... could all give it 0's and WWW would give it a 9 (Pirates, Lost Winds and Dr. M are the games I'm specifically thinking of, I don't really have any quabbles with the rest. IMO P=7, D=5 & LW=2).
I like a lot of SNK fighters, but I've yet to see one have the speed and balance as well as the great endings and after fight tag lines, that SFII has.
Like the over sensitive wall jump that's gotten me hit so many times just because I like to set up my specials in the air (On most games like this I can land and pull off a move as my feet touch the floor. The wall jump disables this).
The running has gotten me hit because I pressed forward twice quickly accidently (SP).
The crouching makes for a pathetic single player experience as later in the game on a real difficulty, your enemies just sit there.
I was vs-ing Cham Cham/Aisha Clan Clan Of The Ktarl Ktarl (If you've never seen Outlaw Star you won't know, but CC is so obviously modeled on her) and she slaughtered me by crouching. She just crouched so that she could grab me before I even had the chance to hit her.
The balance seems totally off too.
I find the above comment laughable, as SSII hasn't fixed anything, it's made it worse.
The only flaw SSI had was the slowdown and that's still there.
Totally not my idea of a fighter and so not worth 900 points / 5 stars IMO.
But hey, everyone's different.
I mean some think that SCIII and SCIV are better than SCII. Not me as IMO II was perfection. Since then the format's totally changed. I could pull off a 25 hitter with Maxi stupidly easily, now his moves are that slow and unlinkable I'm struggling to get a 10.
And I didn't even use him that often (Perfect Link beater), I was a Damascus Mitsirugi user.
Anyway, I'll persist with this, but as I loved SSI after only a few fights, I don't expect me to enjoy this one more. As I've had more fights on this than I'd had on SSI when I knew I liked it.
No offence but that's stupid. All you're doing by taking a break is, making it more likely that you'll miss something that you really want.
Say you stop checking for 3 months, you stop coming here and everything, and your most wanted game comes out 2 weeks after you've stopped checking. It means that you've went 10 weeks more than you had to for it.
I really hate it when Ninty do this. Both of these games look meh at best. Sonic has no spin so it'll play as badly as Sonic 1, and Splatterhouse 2 looks identical to Slatterhouse one, but with a White mask.
And announcing the games that they announced just to release these instead, is just plain evil.
At least WWG still came out. It's a great game if you like those types of games.

Re: Braid Is Too Big For WiiWare
@ David77.
So far I'm in total agreeance. Once they finish off the SBC series, if they don't get the big hitters out, they might as well can it.
Re: EU WiiWare Update: Strong Bad Episode 1 and My Aquarium
Yeah, but do remember we get nothing else now for 2 weeks.
SBC is good fun IMO. But I'm dissapointed at the lack of an actual game this week. Surely Gyro would've complemented SBC's release perfectly?
Re: My Aquarium Coming To Europe This Friday
Hour 10 left till this glorious release.
Re: My Aquarium Coming To Europe This Friday
DAMNIT!
So much for my hopes of Strongbad and Gyrostarr
@ Choco.
I think this will be as dull as Beer Pong & LW.
And I actually like SIM games.
Re: Braid Is Too Big For WiiWare
I prefer PSWII60. Only problem is, the 60 part usually isn't working.

Re: Review: Strong Bad Episode 1 - Homestar Ruiner (WiiWare)
Was that a review of the game or the cartoon?
I think I read one paragraph that outright screamed game.
I like point and click so I'll be getting this asap.

Re: Braid Is Too Big For WiiWare
I'm happy, looks awful. Much rather play Toki.
Re: USA VC Releases: Star Parodier and Break In

YES!
Re: USA WiiWare Update: Strong Bad Episode One
Hope it hits Thursday. If so, I'll be putting something up about it straight away
Just head to my channel from here.

To anyone who's ever watched one of my vids and found it helpful.
Also, if you want to know about the above games, head to my channel from that link
Re: Could Elite 4 Be Headed To WiiWare?
Never heard of it. But I like Duke so it might be good.
Re: Space Invaders Get Even - Stage Pack Details
I knew that 500 points thing was to good to be true.
For 500 it looks worth it, anymore and it starts looking pretty bad.

Re: USA VC Releases: Star Parodier and Break In
Parodier + Strongbad = BRILLIANT release.
Re: USA WiiWare Update: Strong Bad Episode One
Parodier + Strongbad = BRILLIANT release.
Re: EU VC Update - Samurai Shodown II
@ Adro.
Only played SSII out of that list. Before the VC I'd only played World Heroes, a Fury and a KOF. And I hated the last 2. Now I like 'em.
Re: Gameshastra To Bring Tumblebugs To WiiWare
@ Objection.
There are VS modes, unless you're on about a different kind of VS.
Re: Gameshastra To Bring Tumblebugs To WiiWare
Only thing I dislike about Twist is the severe lack of Multiplayer options/games.
Where the hell is endless or some different patterns for co-op? Would making 10-20 co-op maps have really been that hard?
Re: EU VC Update - Samurai Shodown II
@ Lynx.
Yeah Panda was saying Jan.
@ Corbie.
I plan to
Re: EU VC Update - Samurai Shodown II
@ Lynx.
Thinking about it, Sep-May is 8. My bad.
@ Corbie.
My local arcades were **** holes, lol.
Re: EU VC Update - Samurai Shodown II
@ Lynx.
I'm thinking that we may just get 'em every 7 months. If so... BRING ON NOVEMBER!
@ Corbie.
Never played Garou.

@ Adroitone.
BLASPHEMER!
I like a lot of SNK fighters, but I've yet to see one have the speed and balance as well as the great endings and after fight tag lines, that SFII has.
@ Mickey.
Yup, that might be why.
IMO PD 64> ANY other FPS.
Re: EU VC Update - Samurai Shodown II
@ Damo.
I thought 97 was just the date we got it/that it was translated? If not, then they ripped of Cham Cham, lol.
And next you'll be saying SFII sucks
@ Mickey.
She's Black with White hair, has a Gold ring in her hair and wears a getup of Brown, Green & White. Oh, and she can turn into a man eating Tiger
Re: EU VC Update - Samurai Shodown II
Review for it and the incredibly dissapointing SSII later
Odd, just realised, with the exception of Ecco, every game we got was a 2, and every game inc. Jr. Was a sequel.
I knew we were due some SEGA games though, had been saying to Panda just before the release.
Re: EU VC Update - Samurai Shodown II
I can't stand Golf games, they're always faulty. The control and everything.
Re: EU VC Update - Samurai Shodown II
Yup, just been playing.
I though Splat 1 was hard but **** me!
Re: EU VC Update - Samurai Shodown II
Off to get Splatter me thinks
Re: Samurai Shodown II
So if this one's so much better, how come they both get a 5? It just seems odd to me.
Re: EU VC Update - Samurai Shodown II
@ Corbie.
So you like the new irritants... I mean features?
Like the over sensitive wall jump that's gotten me hit so many times just because I like to set up my specials in the air (On most games like this I can land and pull off a move as my feet touch the floor. The wall jump disables this).

Re: EU VC Update - Samurai Shodown II

Does that version feature totally different gameplay like
Re: EU VC Update - Samurai Shodown II
Personally I think SSII is a steaming heap. Wish I'd just stuck with the first one. MUCH better game IMO.
Re: Strong Bad's Homestar Ruiner Gets Release Date!
Hope we get it the same week as you guys. I really want this.
Re: Sonic the Hedgehog
@ Beau.
Thanks
Re: Sonic the Hedgehog
How does the lack of a spin affect this Sonic? I hated Sonic 1 for it.
Re: Ys Book I & II
Thanks DaDun, will do
Re: Nintendo Responds To US Release Date Queries
@ Dazza #6.
And the worrying thing is, SNK could now start abandoning the VC because of this embarrasment.
Although I don't think anyone out there blames SNK, Hudson or CAPCOM, I think they're all blaming Ninty.
And with good reaon too.
Re: USA VC Update: Sonic (Master System) and Splatterhouse 2
@ Bass.
Post 60. Haven't read anything before my first in here. Didn't have the time.

One must ask, just who announced these games?
Re: USA VC Update: Sonic (Master System) and Splatterhouse 2

Re: Mega Man Finally Out On Monday In USA
@ Phantom.
Lol.
I wouldn't call someone who sits and plays FPS' all day a gamer. I'd call them an FPS gamer.
Re: Mega Man Finally Out On Monday In USA
@ Kult.
Plus you're getting a good WW game in WWG.
@ Mr. Cheez.
Pretty sure he meant a gamer whom dislikes those 3 genres. You've just said you love 2 and are slowly liking the 3rd.
Re: Mega Man Finally Out On Monday In USA
If ANYONE complains on Monday, I'll personally kill them.
And hell, I think Super Mario would join me.
Re: Gravitronix - Still Alive And Kicking!
So the maker says it's fun, well let's all believe that and buy it straight away before IGN, GS and WWW give it a 1
It could be good, but I'll never listen to a dev when they're saying how great their game is.
Re: Mega Man 9 To Support Classic And Gamecube Controllers
As long as it uses the Wiimote as a NES controller I'm happy. But this news is a bonus
Re: Braben: LostWinds Was Almost Cancelled
