As I said before if nintendo has absolutely zero claim to goldeneye then why is it coming to the switch with exclusive online?

If solely Microsoft owned the game with MGM and the brocollis etc. Then we would have seen a full xbox remaster with online and everything. But the reason you dont see that is because of Nintendo.

@Banjo- 🤦‍♂️seriously are you that dense? Why do you think the xbox version has no online mode..... oh its because NINTENDO dictated it as part of the deal to allow it on Microsofts consoles. If nintendo had no rights to the game it wouldnt even be on a nintendo console. And it would have had a full perfect dark HD style remake on xbox with full online and everything. Use your brain.

@Banjo- nintendos rights to the game didnt expire in 2017? Its Nintendos game, they own it. Rare(microsoft) owns the source code. Hence both had to come to an agreement together along with the other 3rd party rights owners to secure the release. If Nintendo said no, then no release. If Microsoft said no, again no release.

My genetic disorder is not represented in any form of media. Therefore I can not relate to or enjoy any form of media/entertainment. I feel so much sadness and self pity because my life is empty at not being able to consume movies and games. Why dont we let all the entry level, intern, bottom of the barrel, no business experience employees just run the companies instead? Clearly they know what's best and how things should be run to make money and make all employees happy.

Watched it with my daughter....... she wasnt keen, but i guess it just appeals to a very specific demographic (people who were teenagers in NA in the early 2000s). To me it didnt feel like a Pixar film (not many jokes for the adults like you would normally get).

I'm pretty confident that is the box I saw there. Alot of the game boxes were simply the franchise logo on a plain background. The TP box had the diagonal split with just the logo (no wolf link/link image) I never saw the back of the box.

@retrokong how do I post photos in the comments? The event was no photos sadly but I have the tshirt and the goody bag still. They had box mockups of all the launch games at the event most of which changed by the time of release.

I can tell you exactly where that is from it's from the Nintendo Wii pre launch showcase event held for "industry" people in the uk. I still have my tshirt and goody bag from the event too.

@Zverik I dont think you've ever been able to add foreign currency from a different countrys card due to the 3ds region locking and how the territory shops work. Eg. I cant directly add funds to my jap 3ds from my euro bank either. I have to buy the eshop cards online and add the codes. If you have a Russian console but live in Estonia(euros) then you're going to need a Russian bank account.

Finaly after years of American oppression in video games and movies forcing great actors like Benedict Cumberbatch, Tom Hiddleston, Martin Freeman and many more to use American accents. Whilst simultaneously appropriating British culture for it's own ends by inserting american accents into the lore of great British heroes such as robin hood!
Now I feel validated and represented, its literally saved lives!

@Spiders thanks for the response, a very interesting read and I'd say we are probably 95% alligned on our views on this topic (your presentation a little more articulate than mine ). Your reference to the N word in the 90s is a very good example, I'd never heard of the word until I heard NWA then had no idea or context for what the word meant. For me and alot of kids especially in the UK it was just a word rappers used. And to us rappers were cool, so we would use it as we wanted to be seen as cool too. Zero idea it had racial connotations or that it was deemed a "bad word". We were so close as a culture to erasing that words negative power and changing its meaning, but instead look where we are with it today.

@antdickens at 7 in the 90s all the kids were calling each other gay. No idea about homosexual people. We had clearly co opted the word to mean "annoying / lame" much how the word original meant happy before being co opted to describe a sexual orientation. Words are just words and have many different meanings to different people and those meanings and definitions are constantly in flux throughout time. Just because you find offence because of your interpretation of a word or statement does not mean that it means the same to others. If we go down this path of banning language then other words will just be co opted to mean the same things as before. Eg. The example of many 90s kids moving away from the word Gay to using Lame, but now we are being ostracised for using Lame. It's never ending....... so stop being Lame and remember to stay Gay everyone!

Forza 5.... really? I'm a huge xbox fan and I thought the xbox show was bland and boring. Halo infinite was nice to see but we knew it was coming, not any big exciting reveals. Like say a new perfect dark or banjo threeie. Or even a new IP or an obscure xbox franchise coming back like say PGR or Blinx or Fusion frenzy or Brute Force etc.

@Ralizah the original 2 are really fun puzzle games with decent multiplayer and nice late 90s arcade style graphics. Everything else since they changed the art style has been pretty trash

Multiplayer in Goldeneye, timesplitters 2, and then online with the original Gears of war. I was a god among men! Now I'm old and suck at everything.
