I don’t really see this as something that people would pay too much for. I guess if the art book ends up being totally exclusive to it then maybe, but it’s pretty lackluster overall.
Here’s what I’m expecting from the next game in the series: all Pokémon have a 100% catch rate, gym badges are given to you merely by opening the gym door, your “rival” decides not to even pick a starter because he just knows you will be the champ in less than 24 hours, rare candy injections into all of your Pokémon (even ones in your Pokédex) after every 10 steps, and a new completely original mechanic where your Pokémon turns even bigger than before.
Besides the obvious hits like Wii Sports and various Mario titles, I had to make sure Bully got the 10 stars it deserves. Rockstar’s finest game in my opinion.
Oh boy. An early build of the worst game in the franchise in a long chain of lackluster games starting with X & Y. The only appeal this game had for me was shiny hunting. They even managed to ruin the joy in that by making it extremely exploitable.
First time I played it was on a GameBoy Color. I think my aunt got me it for my birthday. Pretty good for being the first portable Mario game. Its sequel is one of my favorites and of course it spawned the awesome Wario Land series.
@SuperToe thanks for the heads up. I did the same. The amount of time these have been available makes me think the US one won’t be too hard to get after all.
@ChromaticDracula no you probably shouldn’t wait. Anything they put out now won’t stack up to HeartGold. It’s a great remake and with the super small chance Nintendo does re-remake gen 2, HeartGold’s price isn’t going to go down.
@SuperToe to be honest I think I might prefer that as long as we know the day it will be made available. I think I stood in at least an hour’s worth of lines for a couple amiibos before I got burnt out hahah.
@SuperToe Yes. My new theory is that anyone who hasn’t pre-ordered the UK version should periodically refresh the Amazon UK page to see if it goes back in stock, because chances are at this point the US version is just going to release at a random time on a random day. Lazy government bureaucrats at the FCC have even more excuses to work slowly now.
Galaxy since I only ever played through it once. Am I the only one hoping for some hidden post-game content? Like something if you 100% all 3 games? Probably just a pipe dream, but that would be cool.
For being Nintendo’s most profitable region, NoA doesn’t really care about its customers when it comes to collector’s edition items. There have been many times when CEs that Japan and the UK were offered that weren’t offered here. Also notice how this item is up for sale on Nintendo’s website in other regions while NoA just tells us to check back for pre-order updates, knowing full well that scalpers/bots are going to buy them up before the average person sees that Nintendo updated their website to show pre-order availability. They treat their physical NYC store well, but the rest of us? They don’t care.
My new theory is that if pre-orders don’t open for the US on Tuesday (because Monday is Labor Day) then they will open on 9/13. I only say this because on the official site, there is a picture of a Game & Watch showing 9:13. And yes, I have a lot of time on my hands.
I wonder if this is what what we’re waiting on. Saw it at the bottom of the official site:
“This device has not been authorized as required by the rules of the Federal Communications Commission. This device is not, and may not be, offered for sale or lease, or sold or leased, until authorization is obtained.”
I’m not ashamed to say I’d buy all of these if they were released separately full-priced, let alone in a bundle. This would make the Switch worth it for me. Nothing new has clicked with me since its release.
I love the design. Red, yellow, green and blue buttons together always look great together. Reminds me more of the SNES Advantage. Seeing as it’s compatible with Windows, I might have to retract my previous statement and get in on this. All the options and customizability makes it too cool to pass up although I wouldn’t change a thing in regards to aesthetics.
NA for me. If you’re a kid in the early 90s and you’re renting/buying a game based solely off of the box art, NA’s has a lot of action and scenery. It would be the obvious choice.
“At the same time, there’s no guarantee that we’ll always succeed in doing that – so it’s a real challenge.”
Yeah, you haven’t succeeded in the last three entries. Origami King’s battle system is tedious and so long-winded that I dread running into enemies within a few hours of playing. It literally just repeated the same puzzles over and over again. There is no reward whatsoever outside of coins that you can just re-enter areas to get with no effort. The RPG element has no thought put into it whatsoever. Each equip item you can use is just the same item with different tiers. The occasional comedic dialogue is all this series has left.
Hah, that’s pretty dark for an AC game but alright. I love the lore of the Blair Witch. The first movie and the new(er) one are both worth watching in my opinion.
FYI, in the comments of that video, the creator states that you can message him to commission one of these and he mentioned ~$1000. That’s pretty fair for the amount of time and innovation that went into creating this, but a little too rich for my blood.

Re: Mini Review: Vigil: The Longest Night - A Grim And Foreboding Metroidvania
@benchan for sure. It’s becoming as nauseating to me.

Re: Review: Pumpkin Jack - The Perfect Platforming Treat For The Spooky Season
I’ll be picking this up. 3D platformers with things to collect are my jam.
Re: Poll: Do You Play Your Switch More In Docked Or Handheld Mode?
100% docked. I only ever play at home and I have my own place so no need to strain my eyes when I can use the big screen whenever.

Re: The Original Fire Emblem Is Coming To The West For The First Time Ever On Switch
I love a good traditional JRPG. Weird how this series has been turned into a dating sim.

Re: PSA: Use A Wired Connection When Playing Smash Bros. Ultimate Online
Thanks for the heads up. When I checked a couple months ago, these were out of stock.
Re: Minecraft's Steve Revealed As Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's Next DLC Fighter
Unexpected but wise by Nintendo given Minecraft’s mass appeal. I liked Steve chomping on steak at the end of his super.

Awesome! If they ever release an official cart, I’ll get it for sure.

Re: Nintendo Applies For Pokémon HeartGold And SoulSilver Trademarks, But Don't Get Your Hopes Up
X & Y were the start of something awful. Sword & Shield made me realize that we likely aren’t getting good Pokémon games anymore.
Re: Where To Pre-Order Game & Watch: Super Mario Bros.
Alright all, stay vigilant. It seems as though FCC approval has been obtained. I think today could be the day.

Re: Where To Pre-Order Game & Watch: Super Mario Bros.
@SuperToe if it’s any consolation, the UK version stayed in stock for a few days so maybe there will be a good amount to go around for us too.

Re: Shantae's Limited Run Releases Are Now Available For Pre-Order
Went ahead and got the GBC cart since you never see new GBC carts being produced these days. Will be playing it on the Analogue Pocket... next year.

Re: Nintendo Announces Super Mario Remasters And Much More In Super Mario Bros. 35th Anniversary Direct
Awesome news. Most excited for G&W and to have a reason to replay 3D World with some new content. All around great time to be a Mario fan.
Re: Talking Point: Are Shiny Pokémon Too Common These Days?
I dropped Sword when people found out how to farm shinies.
