Only tried TOTK briefly but it is a significant upgrade, will certainly be doing more. Zelda notes is so good, like the WiiU gamepad, but much much better. This is a great tie up between mobile and console. Other games should be looking at this and learning.
My switch, 3DS and analogue Pocket all have waterfield cases and they are great. Not sure i can justify the rising costs and tariffs this time but maybe. They make lovely stuff.
I loved it, and Streetpass. Was very different from the other stuff going on, and i loved seeing all the Mii's run on when you booted up the Wii U. It would need a lot of changes now, but something like this would be great. The switch has been amazing but things like this added a charm that it never got.
Great marketing here. Build hype and marketing for no cost. If the test goes badly, they never announced anything and can quietly kill it without losing face. If it goes well, there is loads of marketing out there for free and anticipation is building. Also generates some headlines without taking about switch 2.
@Cero @rupeeclock thanks for posting this, the email help folks still haven't replied. Would have been good if they mailed to say sorry for the mistake but public orders are open now. In the ongoing screw ups though, I placed an order but never got the success screen, it went back to nothing in the basket. Nothing showed up in my orders either. So I ordered again, this time success. When I log in to my orders they now have two separate orders registered for me. So success I think, might go through with both orders in case I cancel one and they cancel both. I hope the Sora process is smoother. Thanks again for the heads up.
@RupeeClock The chat service was poor this morning, said they can't resend the link or mail. But they got the store to email me asking for a screenshot of the issue. I said I can't send a screenshot of an email I never got. They've asked for a screenshot of the products I'm trying to buy. We'll see what happens. Hopefully a general restock or someone competent will stock them on release.
@Jack_Goetz yea, I've used them lots before and you're right, it's not a well run process. Hopefully this works out. I've a full Smash and full Zelda set so trying to keep that going.
Got a preorder from amazon as nintendo in the UK seem to delay their preorders and then sell out quick. It would be good to know if Sora is coming or not, don't care so much when, just to know if that is the Smash set done now.
I suppose its £30 saved which in the current climate is good. Poor show though as i was a whole 20 minutes after the email went out and it was all crashed. Nintendo must have known the number of folks on the mailing list would kill the site.
I might get this if it's ever on sale. I'm a couple of bags away from finishing the NES build and its awesome. I love the castle that is coming out but that's like £350, too much and i dont have space for it. At least with the Atari I could sit it with the NES.
I don't care so much when they come out, I would rather just put in a pre order and not worry about missing out. Having got the full smash set so far anxiety is kicking in!
@Texasinstrument Cool, hope you enjoy it as much as I do. The d pad is not perfect but I've found it good enough. I've enjoyed going back to some old classics, even if some don't hold up as well as you'd like. There are some cracking games available on evercade. Not perfect but for the overall price I think it's a great little machine, and the quick save function works well. Make sure you update the firmware, which you have to do via a PC as there is no WiFi on the machine.
@Texasinstrument Yep, you can get the original handheld device or the VS is the home console version. Cartridges play on both. Code masters collection is great, so is the Bitmap bros collection. Speedball 2 and sensible soccer are both great on it.
I'm sure part of the Fifa license said you had to release on every platform. EA didn't want nintendo platforms so the legacy edition got them round that. Without FIFA then they don't even have to do that. No great loss but a decent football game would sell a lot on the switch. Let's see if mario strikers has some depth. Hopefully!
Also a decent hockey game would be good on switch!
I've been a few times to this in the past and it's been fun but haven't got tickets so far this time. Not sure if the kids get so much out of it now, but cool to be able to access so many past games and machines.
I think the ports were held back in case BOTW2 got delayed. I could see these easily being put on the Christmas release schedule. Keeps the franchise name in everyone's mind ready for BOTW2. Maybe even a timed release like mario all stars 3D. Most switch owners never got a Wii U and aren't old enough to recall the Cube.
I still love my 3ds and occasionally fire it up. I've picked up a few new games recently, but from the 3D, virtual console, DS ware, 3D videos and such a great library. Little things like pikmin transferring your data when you moved system, amazing experience. I pretty much always had the 3D on too.
I'm surprised to hear they've been making negative comments on reddit. Would like to see what's been said. I've used their products for years and they last like pretty much nothing else I've bought. Yes they are expensive, but they are premium quality. Not sure I'll be getting this one but I think the smaller case might do when my Pocket eventually arrives. If they had a case like this which took a switch and a Pocket it would be cool.
@BenChurchill I was looking at them and saw batches were sold out, with the current batch shipping in March. I thought it was going to be like ordering the pocket all over again.
They sent me an email saying a bigger pocket case is coming next week so I might take a look at that before ordering.
@BenChurchill @zeropulse same here, just keep adding the cartridges in waiting. Might pick one of these up as I love their bags.on the plus side, already one month down, 11 to go.
I think it might come out this year, but if they delay it then TP/WW will fill the gap. There is a zelda game out nearly every year, so it would fit the pattern.
This was a perfect nintendo game. Free of licences and attempted reality but enough depth and fun to sink hours in to. Perfect 3DS game, it would transition well to mobile. It would make a good cross platform mobile/ switch game.
@Damo yea that is true. Evercade worked wonders to get the VS out when they did. I'll be in the queue tomorrow, just seen you guys have a hardware review up so off to read that, hope it's as good as everyone wants it to be, and those that are getting theirs this week have a fantastic time playing them this holiday.

Re: Nintendo's LEGO Game Boy Officially Revealed, Releasing October 2025
Will look good next to the Lego NES and actual GB. Love the cartridges, would be good if they did a few more of them as low cost extras.

One of the best soundtracks and a brilliant game.

Re: Nintendo and Lego Are Collaborating On A New Game Boy Set
This will sit well next to the lego NES (and my actual Gameboy!). Can't see any way this doesn't get purchased.

It's good, but I'll stick to Zelda & Chill.

@Cero about 12 minutes!

@Otoemetry yea good plan. I was too late for their online help last night so going to try this morning.

@GiooiG yea tried that. Nothing there.

@Jack_Goetz I registered but didn't get an email. The store now says you can only purchase with your unique link, which they haven't sent.

Re: Report: LEGO Disney And Guardians Of The Galaxy Projects Among Multiple Cancellations At TT Games
Agree with those on the Lego City undercover requests. Still the best lego game in my view. A lot of untapped potential.

Re: Nintendo Infographic Shows Every Title Featured In September's Direct
Not that many games there that interest me but enough to keep me busy. Plus advance wars will pop up at some point.
Re: Reminder: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Minecraft amiibo Are Now Available
@JoeSooper Managed to get them off Amazon, just been delivered today. Not sure why Nintendo UK haven't had them in stock.
Re: Soapbox: Splatoon 3's Midnight Launch Felt A Bit Different
This is so cool. I was just in NY this week for work so went to the store to have a look on Thursday afternoon. Wish we had one in London.

Need to check which ones I'm missing. Hopefully this will check a few off the list.

Re: Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Is Already Switch eShop's Top Seller, Unsurprisingly
I've just finished the first one yesterday. Was planning on playing them in order but getting 2 at a reasonable price seems tricky.
Not sure whether to skip 2 and go to 3.

Re: 40% Of Europe's Mario Strikers Switch Sales Come From Just One Country
Needs a league mode. Great gameplay though.
Re: Best James Bond Games On Nintendo Systems
Goldeneye is obviously a classic but I probably still prefer nightfire. The Wii version was also enjoyable.
Re: Poll: What's The Best James Bond Game?
Nightfire on the cube was and still is a very good game, probably best. Aside from Goldeneye of course.
Re: Japanese Charts: Nintendo Switch Sports And Kirby Still Reign Supreme
The Switch family has now outsold the 3DS family in Japan.

Re: Video: 12 Exciting New Games Coming To Nintendo Switch In April 2022
Lego star wars, but I'm worried how it will run on the switch. Thinking I should have gone Xbox now, but handheld is more likely to get finished!

Lego City undercover, great game free of the franchise tie in. Criminal we haven't seen another one.
Re: Video: TT Games Talks About 'Building The Galaxy' In LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga
Ordered on the switch as its more likely I'll complete it in handheld, but interested if its much better on the xbox.
Re: Random: Here's The Nintendo Switch-Like Steam Deck Compared To Some Other Stuff
I was tempted to put down a preorder but it looks huge and not sure of the quality. It's a lot to pay for something that might not hit the spot.
