Re: New Endless Ocean 2 Videos and Screens Surface

Chatham

@Egg miester
the first one had hidden treasures to find...

Stoked about hostile fish though!
Worried that co-op was not featured in the trailer at all. In the first EO trailer we saw 2 divers at once!

Me and my GF solve all of our arguments by just getting on our Wiis and playing EO with eachother... it's the one game she is "better" than me at. She can name almost everycreature before she highlights it now!

Re: Exclusive Red Steel 2 footage

Chatham

@DaDun
This game has no multiplayer at all! But the graphics clearly explain why split-screen (and even online) isn't possible. If that was truly in-game, my Wii might catch fire if those same graphics were online!

Re: Red Steel 2 To Be Bundled With Wii MotionPlus

Chatham

Wow, I guess every title I buy from now on will be force-bundles with these until I have as many as I do Wii-condoms.

BTW: This was a mandatory measure from Nintendo to bundle it. If the game cannot support regular waggle, Nintendo would not allow it to ship without the proper peripheral.

Re: Review: Crystal Defenders R2 (WiiWare)

Chatham

You know what makes me really angry? The XBLA Crystal Defenders is 55MB...

Really Square-Enix? You already had to lower the file size due to lack of HD... So you couldn't make this one 40MB release. Wii files use a high compression system anyways.

Re: Mario Kart Wii Used As a Driving Education Simulator

Chatham

@Chicken Brutus

I remember picking up my ex-GF in her neighborhood, then tearing off at 60 MPH in this residential neighborhood and drifting the corner to the main drag.

She turn to me and says, "What the F%&$ is WRONG with you!?!"

"I'VE BEEN PLAYING MARIO KART!!!" I responded, like a madman.

Re: Excitebots Crashes Out At Retail

Chatham

Bad marketing. Horrible box-art. Everyone already has Mariokart, which has more features... Oh, and America is still trying to get through an economic crisis.

This should not be a title owned by "every self-respecting Wii owner"... as the article states.

@Chicken Brutus
I couldn't have said it better. Can't wait until Punch-Out!!

Re: First Impressions: Monster Hunter 3 (Tri~)

Chatham

If they charge for online, I'll pass. I did the same thing against Sega when they decided to charge for Phantasy Star Onliner Ver.2 ($10 a MONTH!)... This will be just as insulting, because the prequels were free online.

However, this game looks AMAZING and I've heard alot of good things... We'll see how this plays out in the American market... If it even makes it's way out here...

Re: New Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles Trailer Shows More Gameplay

Chatham

If it's on-rails... There shouldn't be back-tracking.

They just need to remake a RE with the new engine specs of 4/5. I would say port 5, but it will look terrible, and the game's forced co-op system is ridiculous... And somehow Capcom would find a way to keep your partner in the game... But nix multiplayer entirely for the Wii.

Re: Mad Dog McCree Coming To The Wii?

Chatham

Wow, this better be a VC Arcade thing... If this is a full-blown disc title, then we'll see a slew of half-assed shovelware FMV shooters from the 90's with little or no updates coming to the Wii for the next year or two.

Re: Review: Fatal Frame IV (Wii)

Chatham

Americans/Canadians... Let's get that petition going...

I don't want to wait for Silent Hill to have a great survival horror on Wii (RE4 is not a horror game, it's an action game).

Re: Talking Point: Copyright and Video Games

Chatham

@Sean

You know it! I've had some long discussions with my professor about where this all could go. The copyright laws have gone too far. that's for sure. In the states, it's Life+70years of the creator until made public (if properly registered, etc.). Now that is UNFAIR!

Also going to do some research on Technopop.... Wikipedia isn't much help. Lol. If anyone hasn't seen the brilliance that is Zero Tolerance (or the Beyond Zero Tolerance beta-sequel ROM floating around the tubes) I suggest getting it on a PC emulator. It was the first FPS for the Genesis, and a damned good one (better than Doom IMO).

Re: Konami: VC Arcade Support and WiiWare Life Force

Chatham

@Atlantis

I know how you feel. But I'm pretty sure companies won't want to release these games if they are released with 10+ other arcade releases in that week. Kinda floods the market. I look back at my VC collection and realize I wouldn't have DLed half the stuff I have if some of the titles I've been waiting for were already availible.

Re: Talking Point: Copyright and Video Games

Chatham

@ Sean: Amazing article, very well written... With some great legal points. Thumbs up man.

I took a copyright class last quarter and it made my stomch sink about VC and how different the game-development scene is compared to 20+ years ago.

Anyone remember Zero Tolerance for the Megadrive/Genesis? Technopop, the company that made it, is dead. Somebody get on that "orphan works" act now!

Re: Konami: VC Arcade Support and WiiWare Life Force

Chatham

Hey all, I've been meaning to make an account for the longest time. But I've always used hotmail and it was too much of a hassle to make a new email just for this site.

Anyways... Anyone remember that Konami was responsible for the old 4-P Simpsons arcade game? Is there hope!?!

^It sucks, my friend and I found The Simpsons arcade cabinet in a bowling alley yesterday... And only one of the player's buttons worked! It ate 3 of my quarters! I think Konami has to release it now so I never have to deal with a broken arcade cabinet ever again.
