Re: Feature: The Growing Pains of Curation on the Nintendo Switch eShop

CaptainRainbow

Hopefully indie developers will still try to have their games on The Switch. I would like to see more gems similar to Shovel Knight, Retro City Rampage or Fast RMX.

I hope the eshop team can find a balance between ports and great indie games. Hopefully in the next few months players will be able to download a plethora of great indie games.

Re: Mr. Shifty Devs Tackling Frame Rate Issues After Initially Suggesting You Should Pick Steam Over Switch

CaptainRainbow

Oh well at least there are more indie games coming. Wonderboy is coming out soon. Looks like the developers are going to give the fans of the original what they want. I haven't played the original but the game looks fun.

Hopefully the team behind Mr Shifty will have a pr department that handles things better. "I can assure you our team is looking for a solution to framrate issues and will patch it at a later date."

That would have been a better answer than buy elsewhere.

Re: Playtonic Removes JonTron's Voice from Yooka-Laylee

CaptainRainbow

So will the minor character still be in the game? Also if there was enough time, Playtonic should use a Kickstarter backer to voice the character.

Oh well another YouTube personality bites the dust for flying off the handle. Maybe in the future he will feel the caring hug from a straitjacket.

Re: Rumour: Batman: The Telltale Series May Be Coming to Switch

CaptainRainbow

@RyanSilberman You know Jeff maybe TellTale games should make a StrongBad video game. One of the segments could be a CRAZY CARTOON!!!

I could see TellTale Games working on the Switch. Hopefully there will be physical copies(if not too costly) and a wide variety to ensure all target audiences are hit.

I guess we will find out at some point.

Re: Guide: Nintendo Switch Launch Games & Release Dates 2017

CaptainRainbow

Looks like Nintendo's line-up is shaping up to be one hell of a roster. I hope E3 brings out the big guns and hopefully The Switch have some titles like: Shenmue HD, Shenmue 3 (most likely wont happen), Layers of Fear, Powerstone (we need a new one and the classics), Resident Evil 7, We Happy Few, Overwatch and alot of great indie horror games.

Hopefully the virtual console still happens and The Switch will have a vast library from nintendo(as far as they can go), sega (genesis and dreamcast) ,neo geo and other options.

Re: Bethesda's Todd Howard "Can't Say" If Skyrim on Switch is the Special Edition

CaptainRainbow

Dovahkiin Edition? There could be an option to enable the joycon to act as your weapons. Left hand could be your shield or secondary weapon. Right hand could be main weapon. If you strike your character strikes. If you block your character will block.

This would be a neat little feature for casting spells, pulling back a bow or swinging a battle axe!

I would it to be similar to the control of Arms but a tad more involved. If this happens there should just be a mode toggle button in the options for moments players want to use it or when they cant like when they are on a plane for example.

I plan on purchasing Skyrim for The Switch since I can take the game with me.I am not really concerned with what version we will get I just hope we at least get a game of the year edition. If not then I will have to rebuy some dlc.

Re: GameStop Director on Demand and Timing for the Switch

CaptainRainbow

I snagged my pre order when Gamestop announced them. My pre order was one of the last two systems available. This is going to be a fantastic early birthday present. I was unable to get the neon joycon Switch so will get those controllers later.

I hope we find out the number of sold units and sold pre orders on March 4th.
