So glad this game is getting QoL improvements like this, honestly really nice to see. The party formation thing is an especially welcome addition, the fact you couldn't change on the fly was one of my big peeves with the game
I played the demo during Steam NextFest, and it was extremely fun, great controls and charm. Hope this runs well on switch, will probably pick up at some point
To all those reading this review and being put off because of what NintendoLife are saying about multiplayer, I'd advise still looking into it to see if it looks for you. I personally am really enjoying my time with it, and I mostly brought the game for single player.
I've always played monkey ball for the singleplayer anyway, never really the party or multiplayer modes, so am still really looking forward to playing this!
@MysticX I mean, the team are probably working on the next one now. They don't have the time, and its probably not worth the money, to update nh, especially with the new console right around the corner. Wouldn't be surprised if animal crossing is a year 1 title if I'm honest, would be perfect
If they did do this, I don't think there'd be 'styles' per se as there is in smm2, giving us keys to make our own sm64 or sunshine feels a bit too much freedom, and takes away any magic or sales potential the originals have. I imagine it more working as a kind of unique 3d mario style exclusive to the maker, very similar to sm3d world in terms of controls. Maybe they'd add a couple fun reference features like a fludd power-up or something, but i dont think any further than that. I imagine the maker would essentially allow for custom levels very similar to 3d world
As much as its is weird, I have to thank the 2ds for what got me into nintendo. If it hadn't been so cheap, I wouldn't have got it all those years ago, meaning I never would have discovered mario maker 3ds, which is what got me into mario, and subsequently youtube which lead to nintendo. Thanks 2ds, I now have a new 3ds, but I won't forget what you did for me...
If Illumination does make a Zelda film, I'm ready to declare it bad as soon as its even revealed. Copyrighted music and kid-like characters kinda works with mario, but would ruin loz. The genuine hate I would feel would be insan
I'm on the third game of Ace Attorney Trilogy on the 3ds- This is my first playthrough and it's already one my favourite games of all time. I'm also still chipping away at TOTK, admittedly slowly, but I'm enjoying nearly every moment

Another Rhythm Heaven game would be AMAZING, in my time of being a fan there hasn't been anything, one for the switch would get my insta-buy
