This game will outsell Xenoblade 2 by a lot, which will hopefully motivate the director of X2 to pay a bit more attention to his embarassing choices and improve for his next game.

Very clever. With good marketing and corecting the price this has the possibility to be a guargantuan nostalgia inducing hit for january / february.

A combination of the right audience and great timing.

Lovely to see a quality title doing well although I realised a couple of hours in that this game wasn't for me.

We really need to do something about this scarcity of level designers.

@rjejr they have been doing that for decades with the gameboy and ds. They didn't all suddenly develop lepra or something.
On a different note, it's the season to wrap gifts and eshop cards and digital licenses do not make nice gifts.

@Pod I disagree. The Labo attraction comes from the toy and craft world, more than it speaks to the gaming world. I think selling it is more difficult than selling someone a game machine because of game(s).

The argument for selling a game console to people who are more interested in crafting than videogames is weaker here because if you're in it for the building (the target audience) then the Switch is not much more than a 300 dollar instruction manual.

Someone should sue them, they're a huge company stealing memes and profiting while the original creators get zilch.

It's so ingenious and I loved making the sets, but if the barrier of entry wasn't so high I'm sure the target audience would be much more inclined to go out and buy it.
