Re: Microsoft: If You're Backwards Compatible, You're Really Backwards

ArkOne77

When the software is dookie and has low replay value or nostalgia, I can see why no BC is feasible for this airplane hat and MS/XBOX in general.....
BTW, That pic is awesome. He looks like Mr. Roger's brother showing off a new VHS Unit shortly after Betamax tapes were phased out!!!! Maybe he should leave Microsoft and work for Home Shopping Network or QVC

Re: Talking Point: The Wii U's Next-Gen Challenge Starts to Take Shape

ArkOne77

@Smug43 ...Yep! I agree! It kind of reminds me of George Orwell's book 1984. Where the masses are being watched in their homes by camera and convicted of "thought crimes".....The new XBOX is cool for lazy people who want "ALL IN ONE" social media devices, but no thanks....I'll pass. I like my gaming console for gaming!

Re: WWE 2K14 Set To Skip Wii U

ArkOne77

Anyone remember M.U.S.C.L.E Men based off the anime/manga Kinnikuman? That would be a cool marketing idea and possibly a cool wrestling game without the massive WWE licensing hurdles. To add to the idea how about possibly re issuing the 2" pvc figures with nfc functionality??? Just a thought.....

Re: Video: Here's Some Footage Of The Rayman Legends Challenges App

ArkOne77

This challenge app is fun as hell! Spent a few hours on Murphy's Dungeon last night.....tried Livid Dead run a handful of times this A.M......going to play some more when I get home from work. I am content with Ubisoft's "Peace Offering" until the full game hits the shelves. The developers have done an amazing job on this game and deserve our support despite Ubisoft's release date blunder. I went through the same kind of delays with Rayman Origins 3DS, so I am kind of used to it.

Re: Talking Point: An Open Letter To Nintendo

ArkOne77

I admit the marketing could be better..... and there are some bugs to fix. But what new console doesn't have these issues?! Nintendo has been very responsive to the fans thus far and they have been working very hard to adjust to the changing market and customer demands. Like some of the previous comments above me, I think this guy needs patience. There really is a good selection of games available already for the console, considering it's only been out a little over 4 months now. I understand not every game will appeal to EVERYONE. It is disappointing to see developers pass up on some of the recent titles but in due time everything will balance out. I don't think it's time to panic just yet. I have bought and or been gifted 13 Wii U games since launch and not one of them is bad!!!....even the "late" ports. With that said, I'm going to go play some Monster Hunter now.....

Re: Review: HarmoKnight (3DS eShop)

ArkOne77

@Five-seveN I agree. For an auto runner rhythm based experience, Runner 2 is way better IMHO. The music is kind of flat and sounds off key or like it is missing something in this game.....Maybe I'm not explaining this the best way but musically it doesn't appeal to me at all. Otherwise the game itself looks great and the demo was fun. I'll probably pick it up at a later time.

Re: Vblank Entertainment: Retro City Rampage on WiiWare is a "$20,000 Gift to the Fans"

ArkOne77

Buying this game today f'sho! I wish Nintendo would merge eshop & wii shop into one damn shop.....that way great games like this could be made available for wii & wii u console owners. Even if you have to play out of the wii channel on the Wii U, it woulod still be a move in the right directionfor Nintendo. Another thing that doesn't make sense is having a registered 3DS and a Wii U and having 2 different balances for 2 separate accounts for 1 user!!!! It all needs to be merged and streamlined dammitt!

Re: Talking Point: The Emergence of "Niche" Japanese Titles Into The Nintendo Mainstream

ArkOne77

"Niche" is right! I'm a late comer when playing RPG - JRPG games in general......was trying to back track and pick up Xenoblade Chronicles, Last Story, Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn but they are nowhere to be found in store! Folks on ebay are selling Fire Emblem: Path Of Radiance(Gamecube), Radiant Dawn (Wii) & Xenoblade for outlandish prices! Is this common in this particular genre of games? Guess I'll just have to start with Awakening and whatever else lands on Wii U. :/

Re: Tiger Woods Is Skipping The Wii U This Year

ArkOne77

@Exile20 Haha! I agree with you on the "doodoo list" ....these bigger developers couldn't be more disappointing in the early days of the Wii U. I'm starting to think that they really do want Nintendo to go down the tubes.....

Re: Tiger Woods Is Skipping The Wii U This Year

ArkOne77

Wow....I'm heartbroken EA.....(not really) Maybe someone will actually put forth some effort and innovation and outshine Tiger Woods franchise. I remember seeing an early demo of a golf game being played on Wii U where the player was holding a wiimote over the gamepad on the floor with a top down view of the ball in a sand pit and the player chipping it out of the sand.....what happened to that EA? Couldn't pull that off or just lazy???
