For a second I was worried this was another Saudi Arabia play, but thankfully not.
In some ways it makes sense to pursue Pokemon attractions separate from Super Nintendo World, but it's just weird everything will be at Universal and some Nintendo IP will be outside the Nintendo park.
@jfp He's the only other character revealed so far, the rest would have been spoilers. Please take off the tinfoil hat, not every move is out to "get Nintendo."
If you're going to go this far (i.e. prying open a cartridge) a better method would be to 3D print the cart using yellow material and then put the "chip" part inside of that. It'll be the correct dimensions without 1mm of paint added on top.
The article says it's because the "label was messed with" but it's far more likely (IMO) that adding a layer of paint just makes the cartridge too big. And paint stays tacky for a while, even when dried sometimes.
If you paint something, the paint has mass. You're adding mass to whatever you're painting, you're not actually changing the color of the item itself.
Chiming in to say the Switch 2 almost rescues HotD 1 Remake. The performance is finally solid and consistent, and (in my experience) the Joy-Con 2 gyro controls are WAY more stable than the originals.
With those two big things fixed, my main knock on the Remake is that they left out the original music. That complaint is being fixed by HotD2 Remake, so I'm pretty excited for this.
Forever Entertainment may put out shoddy initial products but they do support their stuff. IIRC Panzer Dragoon Remake was a complete mess at launch but updates got it into a fairly good condition. (Speaking from third-hand anecdotes.)
OK, Duke Nukem Forever had a massive trailer at E3 1998.
Then ANOTHER big trailer at E3 2001.
Then a teaser in 2007.
Comparing that to an officially-unannounced console is extremely disingenuous and misleading. Nintendo's said a handful of things in the ONE YEAR leadup to the system's release, which is 100% consistent with how they've approached every system of theirs (except Revolution/Wii which was two years before release, because GC was doing so poorly).
This reads like a child's tantrum that mommy isn't getting them a toy at the store...
@smithyo You're right, they've only spent years and hundreds of millions in R&D on the development. Internet randos should get to decide when it's revealed, definitely.
It's not like Nintendo is coordinating millions of units for a simultaneous worldwide launch or anything. Usually something like that takes, like, planning and stuff.
They should pull a Saturn with this thing and just shove it in stores as a surprise, that seems to be what everybody wants... That's not how you make a successful console, but I guess that doesn't matter as much as "ME BORED NOW."
"Add to that existing low expectations of the IGN reviews to begin with with regards to Pokémon remakes (they had previously given HeartGold a 5/10, with a demeriting point simply for being a remake)"
Uhhhhhh what are you talking about, Craig Harris gave HeartGold an 8.5/10. (???)
"・ Duel Online! Enjoy Dueling Online with “Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters 4: Battle of Great Duelist”.
Some other titles will be updated post-launch with Online Support"
Available in one game at launch, others will get support added for free after release.
Seems like the games that had multiplayer over link cable will have online multiplayer in this, but they won't add multiplayer to games that didn't have it.
Dungeon Dice Monsters on GBA was absolute crack when I was 11-years old. I really wish someone, anyone would revisit the core mechanics and make a new game with them.

Re: ICYMI: Animal Crossing: New Horizons Switch Gets A Free Switch 2 Update Next Week
@Max_the_German I miss the 60fps on GameCube.
After the added they camera toggle to shut off the rolling log effect, 60fps became my big ask for the series.
Re: Poll: So, Now The Dust Has Settled, How Did You Find Myles MacKenzie?
The only defense of this guy being "He's not THAT bad" from even the people that liked him kinda says it all.
Re: Mega Man Returns In 2027 With A "Brand-New Entry" For Switch And Switch 2
Can't think of anything positive to say here... really baffling announcement.
Hard to trust Capcom after Legends 3, Online and Ultimate all getting scrapped.
Maybe the game is planned to have a lot of content? Like more than the normal amount of levels and bosses. That's all I got...

Re: Metroid Prime 4: Beyond - Meet The Team
Tanabe's been trying to turn Metroid into Halo ever since Corruption, none of this surprises me.
Re: Nintendo Of America Reportedly Cuts Loose Customer Service Contractors As It Looks To Outsource
March 2025?
I haven't seen any news articles about how Nintendo's support is tanking lately (in fact the opposite).
Seems like this has been a smooth transition. Maybe we save the Chicken Littling for when quality actually goes down?

Re: iFixit Performs A Full Teardown Of Nintendo's "P**s-Poor" Pro Controller
I can't believe they reused the exact same awful d-pad as the Switch 1 Pro Co controller. I paid $85 for extreme disappointment. Piss poor is right.
Re: Fans Reckon Nintendo Has "Killed" Mario Kart World With Its Latest Update
It was ruined since launch when they reverted battle back to the MK8 Vanilla dark ages.
Not.gonna lie, as a constantly-forgotten-about battle-mode-preferrer, I'm having some schadenfreude on the racers right now.
Yes, let's hope Nintendo adds more options. For ALL MODES.

DDM is the crown jewel here, crazy addictive game. Wish it saw some kind of update.
