This is a good version, superior to the arcade in terms of gameplay.

I have lawnchairs if anybody needs to borrow them if they get tired of standing waiting for the score to change, and "rare downloads" at -5% off.

So, it seems this review is not very popular...

Wow, I've been playing the original cart recently and this score surprised me. I never played this back in the day, but I'd definitely give it a 7/10 for the $5.

The jumping controls definitely aren't up to the task for some of the levels, and not to defend them, they really are bad and can be frustrating, but I only really had a few segments where they'd get me stuck.

But then again, I'm not the one reviewing it, so carry on.

Always preferred the SNES, but the Genesis is no slouch either. In particular, the platformers, sports games, and shmups are nothing short of fantastic on the system. Although, I've definitely never cared for the sound as far as most games go.

It isn't ancient history when Nintendo burned bridges by trying to destroy the developer's livelihood, and then did nothing to build them back up. I think the developers are justified in being cautious in regards to Nintendo, and it doesn't really matter for a low-key title like this.

I find it pretty amusing that people here are defending Nintendo after they demonized this developer's game falsely, in the US Congress of all places, to make themselves look better in the national light.

Some people are actually posting good game recommendations under this hashtag, but unfortunately they get bogged down in a stream of fanboy tweets.

I actually thought this was the 3DS e-Shop for a second when I saw the screenshots.

We've got Mayro, Joshy, Lank, Dankey Kang, and Binser.

This looks like a fine game, but $30? Yeah, no.

I'd really like to play this game sometime, it seems like something I'd really enjoy. It's always nice to see these sorts of games in general, really.

What I mean is, say a game like EarthBound. Why should it be $10 on the eShop if it's $140 for a cartridge? In fact, we "rare downloads" people propose that since Iwata has to go through all this work to bring the games directry to you, the prices should be raised above and beyond the cartridge value. I think a fair price would be $500 for EarthBound, but @ogo79 is more fond of the $1000 range.

The QOL platformer is the code name for the "rare downloads" program for Wii U and 3DS. They should be announced later in the year, but that's a secret, so shush.

I don't know how anybody could defend madness like this. Think of how much money the "rare downloads" program will be losing because of this limit.

Not feeling this at all. The developers sounded more like they were begging more than anything, the physics look shoddy at best, and the graphics look like a PS2 budget title.

A sale on EarthBound? This is betrayal! It stands against everything the "rare downloads" program stands for.

This means (Miiverse) war!

Platforms: Everything but Wii U. I'd be okay to be wrong on that, though.

He probably didn't know it was fake, because nobody should care about what Pokeball it's in.

And you're right, I don't endorse fake cards, I don't endorse fake Pokemon either. However, in the situation of a tournament, they do not change the outcome in any way, or give any players any advantages, and I see no reason why he should be disqualified because of something that gives nobody any advantage.

And like I said, he probably did not even know it was fake. He's a former champion, do you think he doesn't know the rules? But his "fake" Pokemon had legit stats and moves, how does it make it "easier"?

That looks really hard to pull off, but it's always cool to see faster speed runs, and the cloud is fun to use.

So a competitive game should be about "patience"? A.K.A. Pointless, mind-numbing grinding. If they've made it easy, then why would he "cheat" in the first place?

And last time I checked, physical trading cards =/= virtual Pokemon. And yes, even if the cards are photocopied (Which I do not endorse, mind you), it does not effect the outcome of any card battle in any way whatsoever.

He isn't "dishonest" because he used a virtual monster that gave him absolutely no edge over any other player whatsoever.

The Pokemon had legit stats, moves, etc. It did not in any way alter the course of any match whatsoever. The only thing different about it and any other in the competition was the entry animation for the Pokemon. The question of if it was game-spawned or not should not have any bearing on the matter at all, as long as he didn't gain an unfair advantage from it.

Pressing left and right on a d-pad for weeks does not make you a better trainer, it's just a waste of time.

This, doods, is why I avoid Pokemon like the plague.

I applied this update to be stack of Wii Balance Boards, which looked like the leaning tower of Balance Boardsa, and now it's suddenly very stable. Thanks Nintendo.
