Apparently the system update downloads itself in the background if you are playing a game when it is announced. When I finished playing zombieU I returned to the wiiumenu, as it loaded it said "a bew update has been downloaded, please install" and then it only has an OK button so you have no choice!

I had the error when trying to buy zombieU. Gave up abd bought tge retail copy instead. Stupid thing. Also have this on the latest nintendo tv 18 version. Still havent watched it because it wont let me, even after 11pm.

That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever read. Sony's PS3 controller has x2 accelerometers. Both of them use the same 3 axis. Sony decided because their are two of them, to call it sixaxis so all the sony fanboys could claim superiority. In fact there are two because one on its own (the type sony used) would not be accurate enough (and still isn't accurate with x2)

Accelerometers detect acceleration (speeding up and slowing down) The wii remote uses this information to detect tilt(using gravitational changes), and single direction acceleration, and gestures using this are transmitted using Livemove.

Gyroscopes detect circular motion only. The Wii remote uses this to determin if the remote is moving in a circle or not. Zero point must be set by the user pressing a button. In combination with the accelerometers it can accurately replicate movement in 3D.(so it can stop when you stop and move exactly as you move) but the zero point must be recallibrated by the user.

Magnetometers sense magnetic north. In the WiiU it uses it so if your house(or playing direction) faces East, the pad knows that '0' position is east and uses it to calibrate for you. Combined with the gyroscope and accelerometers the Gamepad for WiiU will be extremely accurate.

Still only using the only 3 axis available to a object.

Very simple art design but the game looks very playable.

Not really worth it unless you spend hundreds of pounds a month. You need a HDD either way so both sets are good.

Me and my friend both have preorders now on the wiiu. he's never had a nintendo console before.
but since Call of Duty BO2 is a launch title he is taking the risk. He also has Trine 2 and and darksiders on his wish list.

If GTA was on WiiU I can see it being huge. old and new audiences catered for.

Getting an 8 gig Wii U in January with no games. Buying all of mine digital, got me a 1TB HDD to fill and this will be game number two for me. looks great fun.

game number one will be wonderfull 101 if I can download it. if not, Trine 2.

The screen is scrollable exactly like a web page in a browser!
If it is anything like the rumours say, it will be like the nintendo official website with club nintendo access, stars catalogye etc. Looks brilliant.

I see your point but wiiu uses the two screens in the same way as DS/DSi/3DS for certain games and in completely new ways for the rest. ZombiU is designed so it is difficult to use both screens on purpose, to add tension. Scribblenaughts is EXACTLY like ds. call of duty has one person on tvm the other just on the pad. Three perfect examples of why two screens are awesome.

PM isnt even developing for WiiU. He has no authority on WiiU ability or innovation. He knows less than I about it apparently. Two screens causing a problem? Pretty sure he said the exact same about the DS. What a total pleb.

Love the fact I will be able to watch a movie or a boxing match WITH my friends without having them over - using the chat! THAT is epic.

Nintendo need to get their arse in gear. Most people will be put off by this news. Nintendo need to get online right for once. They've had long enough to do something. I have cancelled my pre order, not because I want call of duty online, but because I want it all online. I still want a wiiU but not if it is inferior to last gen consoles. No point.

I have heard that your dead player will appear in your friends game. Zombies can "level up" and oif you lasted bearly the whole game but then die, their is a massive chance your dead player will become a BOSS!

I went to buy a game yesterday, peruded through about 4 game selling shops... found absolutely NOTHING I wanted to play. Tempted by lsunch title ghost recon.... but utterly dissapointed with the other options.
Their are still NO games on 3DS.

I must also add that I played Trine on PS3. It looks lovely and plays ok but is not really action packed. It is a slow paced multiplayer (although loads easier in single player) puzzle game.

19rob92 has a point. Nintendo have a bad habbit,of claiming everything will be great and then turning around and saying "we're doing it the Nintendo way" which normally turns out to be less than half what you expected and payed for.

Has anybody stopped to think that niether PS4 or 720 will be announced next E3. They dont need to to carry on competing.
It is way more likely to be revealed in 2014, meaning a 2015 release for 720 and ps4 at the earliest. WiiU will be 3 years old by then.
Nintendo have said time abd time again that Nintendo network is also for a future system... ...what if they have the funds and already are planning a "next gen nintendo" ready for simultanious release to compete with those other two systems!? The wiiU would then have the whole market to itself, easilly beating the ps3 and 360. And doesnt have to compete with the "next gen".

I laugh at 32GB just as much as I laugh at 8GB...both are tiny, I have a spare 500GB HDD. This works better
I will be buying zombiU and assassins creed on disc.
I will be downloading everything I want to play without changing disc.

so a pro controller should be £50 but I see they only cost £34.95
= £15 extra for the zombiU bundle than it is actually worth.

If you see ZombiU premium/delux bundle for less than £330 you are getting a real "value bundle pack"
If you spend more than £330 then you have been ripped off.

zombiu bundle is £349.99!
thats an extra £100 for a game and pro controller. might as well buy them individually. you dont get nintendoland either in the bundle.

even 32GB is nowhere near enough storage for most people. Whichever pack you buy you will innevitably need to buy an external HDD anyway.
The premium pack is also not worth the extra £50.

here's why:

£50 gets you an extra 24GB, Nintendoland, some plastic stands and a sensor bar.
I can get a 32GB SD card for £13.50 on amazon.
nintendoland is a collection of minigames simmilar to wiiplaymotionplus.
every single person on earth now has a sensor bar.
plastic stand and charge cradle completely pointless and will be ignored just like 3DS charge cradle, as its much easier to plug it in directly.

I'm getting the cheap version and zombiu and mass effect3
