Re: Nintendo Facing Lawsuit Over 3D Technology On The 3DS

Main article: Parallax barrier

The principle of the parallax barrier was independently invented by Auguste Berthier, who published first but produced no practical results,[4]
and by Frederic E. Ives
, who made and exhibited the first known functional autostereoscopic image in 1901.[5]
About two years later, Ives began selling specimen images as novelties, the first known commercial use. Nearly a century later, Sharp
developed the electronic flat-panel application of this old technology to commercialization, briefly selling two laptops with the world's only 3D LCD screens.[6]
These displays are no longer available from Sharp but are still being manufactured and further developed from other companies like Tridelity and SpatialView. Similarly, Hitachi has released the first 3D mobile phone for the Japanese market under distribution by KDDI.[7]
[8]
In 2009, Fujifilm released the Fujifilm FinePix Real 3D W1
digital camera, which features a built-in autostereoscopic LCD display measuring 2.8" diagonal. Nintendo
has also implemented this technology on its latest portable gaming console, theNintendo 3DS
.

Re: Wii U Software Struggled For 2% of UK Market in January

I'm from England. Most gamers are PS360 gamers here and are not entirely stupid.
for example;
They wont buy COD on/or/and a WiiU if they can get the same game on a console they already own for MUCH cheaper.
WiiU needs Nintendo exclusives, not 3rd party games. We have a lot of 3rd party games already.
also...
WiiU games are a ripoff in price.
averaging £50 per game!
It's only a small amount of time untill some great fun games will be out.,. Literally just one month.

anyway, I have contributed=
English gamer:
games I own=
I bought ZombieU for £54(brilliant game), then Trine2 for £10.99(most fun game on WiiU) and Little Inferno for less than £7(genius game/fireplace/physics), and ZenPinball2 for free(thinking about buying the classic pack).

Re: Developer States That Wii U Woes Were a Focus At DICE

all talk of doom for wiiu yet the vita has totally flopped and is still not pounced upon in the same way. wtf? who are the developers in question anyway? Coz seriously, are these 3rd party titles really so great? not in my experience, they are normally just filler... super buggy, badly made, unfinished turds. I am happier without turds.

Re: Trine 2 Magic Mayhem DLC Appears Unlikely To Happen

Whatever hey decide to do, I hope they bring it to WiiU & 3DS and really make the consoles shine. They have earned a LOT of respect for this launch game. It would be wise of them to keep it.

As for the DLC for Trine2... I would buy it. Nearly finished goblin menace extras now.

As for Trine3... I can wait... this game will last a while, many routes and puzzles I skipped this time that I'd like to go back to. plus it's online and its really quite good!

Re: Wii U Selling 1.2 Games Per Console In North America

I got premium pack with Nintendoland - which is brilliant with friends

I got fifa13 with it as well but sold it (because its not my type of game) & got ZombieU.
ZombieU is genuinly scary.

Since I have Nintendo Network Premium, I got myself Trine2 and am loving little quick sessions on this beautifull game.

Re: Annoyed About Age Restrictions On The Euro Wii U eShop? Blame Germany

3dbrains

I dont see a problem. If you want it, you'll wait and download it. It's not like you can only play the game after 11pm. Only problem I see is that after that time, I am still unable to download r18 games. Its like it has totally locked me,out, cant even, view details.
Stupid law but it keeps the kids away from the download. I used to live in Germany, nice place.
