Super Mario Maker has become a mini-platform of its own, commanding a loyal audience of creators and players while adding frequent content updates. More extras are naturally on the way and a data miner has dug up some information, so this is your spoiler warning. Below is a random video of dancing sprites; if you scroll beyond that you have no-one to blame but yourself.
So, NWPlayer123 - who has previous form in data mining - has dug up code for Mystery Mushroom Costumes related to the upcoming Callie and Marie Splatoon amiibo figures.
The amiibo figures aren't out in stores for a number of weeks yet, though it seems the data has been dropped in ahead of time. Not a surprising addition but good to see; you can check them out in action in the video below.

Well, having a video showing most of the fun little surprises you'd get from trying them out yourself makes it a spoiler in my opinion.
It's definitely for fun to discover it yourself even if there is very little to it. What would be very cool but seriously anger amiibo haters would be to have a special brick available for each character or even just a tweaked ability or mix of traits.

I'll be more excited when Bayonetta is inevitably added. I'd spoil her costume.

It's only up an hour and someone clearly went nuts trying to beat it because it has 118 attempts from 5 players. It's such a simple level.
Yay! New costumes that are characters I know that aren't just from some random anime!
Seriously though, any Splatoon related additions are welcome.
Give us the other DLC fighters, Ninty! I want to create a Bayonetta level! Still awesome though.

@SLIGEACH_EIRE Was going to ask about Bayonetta and Cloud in SMM, so I'll take your comment as a "no". At least they should have something else to talk about at E3 besides Zelda U. For a long time I was holding out hope for the Cloud amiibo to be announced alongside FFXV on NX, but March 2017 kind of killed that. Some day.
@rjejr Sorry, Bayonetta will definitely be added. As will Ryu. His up and down moves will be interesting. Sweeping kick and hadouken will be my guesses.
@Smokingspoon I know, right? I mean, I dont mind them but I hardly ever use them. If this is how Nintendo is claiming to 'support' Mario Maker with new 'updates' then I mark it as a missed opportunity.

@SLIGEACH_EIRE My mistake, I completely screwed that up, I meant if they were in yet. I'm really more interested in the amiibo themselves than their 8 bit skins in SMM.
Has anyone else gotten an error when trying to use the Super Mario Bros U theme? It says the disk may be dirty but it works fine only until playing on a level with the 3D models. Thanks
