Nintendo's Q4 Schedule Outs BIT.TRIP FATE

Posted by James Newton

Plus dates for Kirby, DK and more

Gaijin Games let the first detail of its upcoming BIT.TRIP title slip last week with the revelation it'll be playable with the Wii Zapper, but a new Nintendo press release has confirmed the name as BIT.TRIP FATE with a release date pencilled in for this Fall.

The press release also gives vague "holiday season" release dates for Super Meat Boy and the much-anticipated Shantae: Risky's Revenge, suggesting it may be a long wait until the genie is released from her bottle again. There's Need For Speed Nitro-X heading to DSiWare on September 20th though, which might tide you over a while longer.

If you're into your old-fashioned physical retail copies, Wii owners can pick up Wii Party from October 3rd, Kirby's Epic Yarn on October 17th, Flingsmash on November 7th and Donkey Kong Country Returns on November 21st, with GoldenEye and Sonic Colours on the way in November.

DS fans need not be glum, with Professor Layton and the Unwound Future out on September 12th, Pokémon Ranger: Guardian Signs on October 4th, Art Academy on October 25th and the latest battle between man and monkey, Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Mini-Land Mayhem!, released on November 14th.

Take your time 3DS. The longer you take the more money I'll have for these awesome Wii games. (or just come out in December)

Leave it to Nintendo to spoil something about a BIT.TRIP game again (last time it was RUNNER's release date) before the awesome guys at Gaijin can announce it. Oh well, intriguing name and day 1 download all the same.

Sonic Colors is such a stupid title. Every time I read it I die a little more inside.

They changed the title of Bit.Trip.Boredom! That's not cool...keep titles representative.

Jeez, Nintendo, couldn't you keep a secret?

This looks a bit dim for anything 3DS-related.... Something is screaming "December is 3DS month!" in my head for some strange reason.

It's great to finally know the release dates for Kirby's Epic Yarn and Donkey Kong Country Returns! Now if only they would tell us when Shantae, Golden Sun: Dark Dawn, Goldeneye, and Epic Mickey are coming out....

The Kirby game looks fun. My dad and I think Epic Mickey sounds pretty cool although I want to see a review. I am still having fun with SSBB so I am fine. I already have countless games that are already out that are good that I don't have like Super Mario Galaxy. Right now, my money is being saved for a 3DS and the new Zelda game.

Its wicked to read that 8 of my insta-buys or insta-dowwnloads ARE or potentially COULD BE released before end of the year in the EU

Stinks that Super Meat Boy and Shantae don't come out until the "holiday season". However, can't WAIT for DKC Returns and Kirby!

Other M, Goldeneye, DKC Returns, NBA Jam, maybe Sonic Colors and Epic Mickey, and that's just the physical retail... it's going to be quite entertaining for me, I need money. That's what I want.

@SuperMarioFan- Maybe Rock Band 3 on DS will be like Lego Rock Band DS. If so, then it may use the buttons. LegoRB was great, so no worries. :)

Great games usually come out around my birthday. Last year New Super Mario Bros. Wii came out on my bday. And this year, Sonic Colors comes out the day after my bday. ;)
Except there was the years where Shadow the Hedgehog and Sonic the Hedgehog Genesis came out on my bday on 2005 and 2006. But forget about those.
