Can't tell if serious.

Those rare downloads do cost quite a bit.

LMAO! Epic!

Mine is 9 and halfway through 10. I might hit 12 by the end of the year. Too bad Captain Toad will be released on January here in Europe. I have a feeling though that the promo will be extended or there will be some sort of similar promo.

Unfortunately I don't think it works for digital codes. You still get bonus reward points with the credit card on them and everything else should still apply, but not the gamers club discount.

But what's nice is it does seem to apply to bundles with hardware, like the Gamecube Smash bundle. Normally it doesn't work with any hardware, but I found that as long as there is a game included it seems to work (not on consoles or anything though obviously). Oh, and it works for amiibos as well.

@JaxonH awesome, thanks for the info. I couldn't find anything on their site about a GCU sale, though. May I ask how did you hear about it? I'm wondering if it's just your local area that's doing the sale.

No it's nation wide. It's posted all over cheapassgamer, I'll leave the link below for you. Gamer's Club Unlocked memberships must be purchased in store only at the customer service desk, but once you are a member you can buy all your games through their website for the next two years if you want. Basically you have to go to the store once for the entire two years, just to obtain the membership. There are some other perks as well, but the biggest draw obviously is the 20% off all new games. I stocked up on four years of membership last time they had a sale, so I'm set until 2018. Although I am seriously considering just coughing up for a full decade, $150 and I'll be set til 2028 lol. Not sure if they would allow it to stack like that though. But, they did allow me to stack two 2-yr memberships last time. I remember everyone talking about how there was no limit.

I've gotten 19 codes, but I should have 20-22 by the end of the year.

If you're talking about Nintendo's Deluxe Digital promotion, I've gotten two. I buy retail games on disc so this is what I've earned off Virtual Console purchases, upgrading Wii VC titles to Wii U versions, F1 Race Stars, Mario Kart 8's free game download, and preordering Mario Kart 8's DLC.

It amounts to ten NES downloads upgraded to full Wii U versions at no cost, so not a bad deal. And I'll likely make it three before it concludes. Still have $50 worth of Virtual Console titles on my want list that are out right now, Pikmin 3's DLC, along with Harvest Moon for the SuperNes and six more NES downloads that can be upgraded at present.

Is that the name they give to this promotion in Europe? First time I hear it.

Anyway, I only have 7 codes and working on the eighth. I wish this thing would run forever, or they extend it as some sort of loyalty program or something.

I keep mentioning how the Deluxe Promotion is what keeps me buying games digitally in Club Nintendo surveys, so hopefully they get the message lol

Oh, so THAT's what it is. Meh, I bought the Basic version, mainly because it's white and I already had a big hard disk to store my games in. And yes, also because I didn't know about this promotion until after the fact.

The Digital Deluxe Promotion gives you 10% back on digital purchases kinda. For every $50 you spend you get $5 back. It doesn't have to be in a single purchase either. If you buy ten $5 games (like Virtual Console NES Games) then you can get $5 back. It is a really nice deal. I just hope whatever they do after this is as good. Club Nintendo prizes have gotten a lot better recently, maybe they are going to expand that further.

I am up to 20 cards now. I am thinking of buying all the games on my wishlist before the end of the year just so I can maximize the promotion... I just lost my job though so I don't think I should spend that much.

I'm throwing my money at the screen but nothing happens!
