@Sony_70 VC games don't count. It has to be either a Wii or Wiiware game.

Does Brawl count? No? Well then NSMB Wii, at least until I get Rayman Origins.

I really didn't care much for Wario Land. I liked the design but it just played too slowly, I usually like to 100% games in the this genre but once I cleared WL I left it alone because I couldn't face crawling through all the levels again multiple times over to find secrets or whatever.

I'm split between Rayman Origins and Kirby's Epic Yarn, both of which I rate above NSMBW. Kirby's Epic Yarn was a bit too easy, but it was so nice to play. I still haven't played DKCR or Return To Dreamland.

Wario Land Shake it! > Klonoa > Kirby's Epic Yarn + NSMBWii.

Kirby's Lack in difficulty based on the fact that you can't die knock it down for me...., Visually breath taking-unique, brilliant sounding, fantastic motion controls(ahem, fire truck!) and solid platforming aside. While NSMBWii has 'brilliant' platforming/design, but completely lacks in the imagination/creativity department where epic yarn clearly out does it X1000....NSMBWii dished out wayyyy too many 1-ups & powerups, the graphics were generic, 'plastic' and simple(yet nice) and there was hardly a single ounce of Mario-originality in sight! :p Regrdless, it's a Good game no doubt if you look past those things and think of it as a Wii-ified version of the DS original. The Wii version trumps it no question. B-) Both great games, But i can't seem to award a winner here.

And my Copies of A Boy & his Blob, Kirby's Return to Dreamland and DKCR are soon going to get played since I'm gradually knocking down the games i need to finish in my Game collection. 9 being left. :p And I'm definitly going to get Rayman Origins! And it's hilarious you know, I'm always raving about the Wii yet I still haven't played some of it's most enormous classics like the platformers listed above 'including' Galaxy 2, Zelda Skyward Sword ect ect. :p

The Wii is far from dead to me obviously, i'm clearly a bit behind. tee hee.

Difficulty has nothing to do with Dying, take Wario Land 3 for an superb exemple, you can't die but it's a very challanging game... also, games with infinite lifes, lots of lifes, or plenty checkpoints offer the same experience of Can't Die as Kirby. There's no consequences on dying for most of modern games. Epic Yarn made an great choice of not interrupting the game every 2 or 3 minutes just to put you on the same place as before. The game is easy not because of that. Its easy because its a game meant for young kids, 5 to 10 years, that's why my nephew had a blast with it, got very scared of the bosses, but for me the game has Nothing to offer.

Gaah! DKCR was fantastic and I still love the game to death but Rayman Origins was superb as well. Then there's NSMBW which people seem to be complaining more about now but it was great as well. I guess it's a 3 way tie :D

Kirby's Epic Yarn isn't so different from most Kirby games in that you can breeze through most levels if you want, but it becomes a good deal trickier when you try to 100% it. The inability to die doesn't change that.

Hmm, I should get Wario Land: The Shake Dimension. I've heard many good things about it, but it was low on my priority list.

I used to have a blog link here. I'll put it back up when the blog has something to read.

You can't beat DKCR. I was skeptical when the game was first shown but wow, was I ever wrong to doubt Retro on this one.

But in general, the Wii has been home to more stunning platformers than any system since the SNES. We're living in the golden age of the genre.

Can't decide between Wario Land Shake and DKCR, they're both so amazing in totally different ways.
