lol. PC's are still better for a variety of reasons. But as far as consoles go, I think the Wii U would be the best system for an mmo.
Wii U don't do multi touch. Going to be important for MMO. iPad FTW.
Well PC's don't even do "Single Touch" so yeah. And Who would want to play an MMO or and serious game on a tablet?
When you've got a keyboard and mouse you have more enough inputs that you don't need a touch screen.
Also, Baldur's Gate is on the iPad. Not the Wii U, not the PS3, not the 3DS, not the Vita. It's more of a "serious game" than almost anything I've played in the past couple of years on any console.
Can you play Call of Duty, or God of War, or Assassin's Creed on your little pad?

Baldur's Gate is more of a game than any of those.
Guys just don't, waltz is gona stick to his iPad like glue and say it has better stuff just cuse.... It's his opinion and who are we to change ones opinion (same goes the other way around)

According to critical rankings, only God of War III wins over Baldur's Gate. According to user rankings, all three are way behind.
Still gonna claim the iPad doesn't have good games?
Because we got to talking about why people would want to play any "serious game" (Not some $1 angry birds game)
Baldur's Gate costs $10.
In fact, most of the games I have on the iPad these days costs between $8 - $20. I guess that's just the difference between people who actually own iPads and use them for games, and people who don't.
Ok. Serious time. If you're playing an MMO with a controller, you're doing it wrong. Get into WoW and the other good MMOs enough and you'll be wanting a mouse with as many buttons as the typical controller by itself.
There is no way any console (or iPad), could possibly run any but the simplest of MMOs, without keyboard/ mouse add ons etc.
I agree here. As an avid WoW player myself I would be lost without my Razer Naga.

@waltz DID you see me say I'm not going to try to change your opinion, and that I'd REAALLY respect you more if you didn't try to change mine, plus I own an iPad not that great (for me) plus I like my obscure Japanese games ONLY

I think he was less trying to change your mind and more defending his own opinion.
He tries too hard though

Sort of. I was pointing out that my opinion has a factual basis (ie I can prove there are good games on the iPad that are not on other consoles.
Consequensely I was demonstrating that anyone who says the iPad only has $0.99 games and doesnt have good games is factually incorrect. This isn't about personal opinion. This is about deliberately covering your eyes and ears and hoping the 'problem' will go away.
BTW Harmoknight. There are a lot of Japanese games on the iPad now. Even more of you can speak Japanese. Perhaps you should try turning it back on again.

I mean rely bro? You were jumping off the diving board and going into the tennis courts. (And this argument about the 'seriousness' of iPad is completely irrelevant to the topic, so I'm going to ask that you cease responding to things that will derail the thread, even if it is started the maker of the thread, even if it is false, or any other 'reason' to talk about it, be the better man and let it go. :3 /me pats waltz of the head. aaaand, thats enough philosophicalyness for the day from me, this should be funny, /me grabs an apple soda, logs out. and 'favorites' this thread so he can come back and check updates as they happen!
@waltz..... Maybe..... There's still something off about them.

I think Wii U would be good for MMO, and the reason why PC fails against Wii U, is because it's a dedicated game console that we expect to get these great games for. Gaming PCs years ahead cost too much for the average person. People complain about how much any game console costs, because it's not free. Besides, it's not like Wii U can't utilize a keyboard, along side all these other controllers you can use. A keyboard is more convenient, but it's not like it's not an option for Wii U. As for iPad, Apple needs to make an actually PC powerful one, and if the new iPad is as powerful as a low end PC, they need to make an actually good OS or software to show it. There is cool stuff on iPad for sure, but people buy iPads alot of the time to replace a PC, and find out it's not even close, and then break it on Youtube. End of story.

Wiiu could be a good mmo machine for sure, only need some dedicated devolpers hwo think the same.
If the internet browser only could handle flash there would be quitte a lot nice mmo's to play, but for some reason "N" dont like the idea we can play flash games..
