I make folders for games from series on multiple systems. If two games from the same series are from the same system, then they stay in that systems folder instead of getting their own folder. Games within each folder are lined up by system release date. So NES games first, then Super Nintendo and so on. Games on the same system are placed according to quality and grouped by series. The Donkey Kong Country trilogy are grouped together in order of release for example (1, 2, 3).
Edgey, Gumshoe, Godot, Sissel, Larry, then Mia, Franziska, Maggie, Kay and Lynne.
I'm throwing my money at the screen but nothing happens!
NIntendo: All internally developed games. Mario Maker will be the next game to go here. Type One: All games published by Nintendo, but not internally developed, as well as some more "Nintendo-y" fare like Sonic and LEGO games. Fatal Frame will be the next game to go here. Type Two: The less "Nintendo-y" 3rd parties. Generally multiplats like Assassin's Creed, Batman, etc... companies kinda stopped publishing games on Wii U that would go here, so I dunno, maybe I'll put Devil's Third here if I end up buying it. Seems like it would belong there, beside Ninja Gaiden 3.
And then separate folders for Indies, NES, SNES, and GBA. All the Mii Maker, Settings, Wii Menu, that kind of stuff in another folder off to the side. Then the streaming apps, Netflix, Crunchyroll, and YouTube along the bottom, but those aren't in folders.
So Anakin kneels before Monster Mash and pledges his loyalty to the graveyard smash.
I have a similar set up to Link-Hero. My folders are:
-Retail (for digital copies of retail games)
-eShop (for eShop originals)
-NES
-SNES
-N64
-NDS
-GBA
-Demos
-Wii (Where I put my three Wii ROM dumps and the Wii mode icon)
-Misc (This is where I put Netflix, Hulu, and the other icons)
Apps - all the non-games go here. Demos also find their way into this folder.
Retail - Retail downloads from eShop. Also houses digital Wii games.
NES - All NES games
SNES - All SNES games
N64 - All N64 games
GBA - All GBA games
DS - All NDS games
I have one folder for each console (NES, SNES, N64 etc.)
Also put all the useless stuff like daily log and parental info in a folder to get it out of the way.
I used to have 3 folders titled Tools, Media and Software & eShop. I put utilities such as Settings and Mii Maker in Tools, multimedia apps such as Netflix and YouTube in Media, and games and stuff that I downloaded from the eShop, arranged in order of the generation the game originally debuted in.
But we switch flash drives, which means that the software keep getting out of the folder, and I can't just continue to put them back all the time...
"Boring Crap", it's the only folder I have on there...it's just stuff on the system you can't remove that no one cares about. So I just put them in there. xD
