PS2 is what killled Sega consoles, and I like Sega consoles better than even the PS, even to this day. The consoles have improved.
Sega killed Sega. Mishandling every aspect of the business for years finished them off in console department.
The only thing Sega had going for them was a unique line up (albeit released in limited print runs) for Fall 2000 release. And even that was fumbled with piss poor marketing and the aforementioned limited print runs. The only ones who enjoyed that period of gaming were internet savvy fans that skipped out on a medicore PS2 launch line up and knew about major gems like Skies of Arcadia and Jet Grind Radio.
I heard it from Miiverse. I truly hope this won't make front news on NintendoLife, we don't want that Epic guy's attitude to be treated as journalism in here (or so I hope).

Dude, random twitter posts from indie devs no one cares about count as news around here. They're probably writing the article as we speak.
That said, why shouldn't this be news? If Epic has no interest in supporting the Wii U, shouldn't people be informed about that, so people don't go on wondering why Epic's new games won't come to the Wii U?
Why does Iwata still have a job as Nintendo`s CEO again?
Nintendo fanboys praise him like hes a god, hes a terrible CEO, he makes abysmal decisions. as soon as hes replaced or he steps down this year he has said due to bad sales with the wii u ( hopefully) Nintendo will go a better direction than its already heading

The fact of it is news, I can accept that: though it will sad when they'll change their mind. It's the way he said it that is utterly unappropriate, and I personally believe this kind of journalism belongs to Kotaku and not NintendoLife, but I might as well be wrong.

I suppose this is yet again somebody who has no notion of business strategy. (I apologize for being blunt, but your comment did piss me off.) Iwata has been here since the end of the Gamecube and so since the time when Nintendo made the most sold pieces of hardware: the DS and the Wii. Now if you could consider what truly matters (sales and money as we are constantly reminded with the Wii U), you would realize that Iwata hasn't been perceived as one of the best CEOs in the world for nothing.
"Please understand that [achieving it] is my commitment."
The industry wants him to leave, and interpreted it that way. Unless I might have missed a quote when he explicitly said he would step down, which I doubt but you can prove me wrong.
see told ya anger everywhere , yes i admit i shouldn't have put the "stepping down" as it is not confirmed that he himself did not say that. but my personal opinion and many others is that that iwata is a bad CEO
I agree i think i should "step down" as this hole is getting deeper by the second

At least someone agrees Iwata is terrible at his job.

I've always had a problem with the "Iwata is a terrible CEO" comment. The man who takes a 50% paycheck cut when his company is failing, frequently hosts a livestream created for fans of his company, and gives developers extra exposure by interviewing them can't be considered a "Bad" CEO, at least if we're assuming that being a CEO means more than doing your best to raise a select few numbers on a year-end review sheet.

I hate the comment, too. So many people on this NINTENDO forum seem to forget that the Wii U isn't the only console the company has out right now. The DS/3DS family of consoles is currently making a mockery of its competition and more than holding its own in a market saturated with iPhones and Android phones/tablets. Take a look at sales charts... the 3DS is picking up more steam every day with no end in sight. How soon we forget the OTHER aspects of Nintendo. Or how soon some of us willingly decide to ignore reason.
Back on the Unreal Engine, so? I don't say this because I don't want Nintendo to have it, but come its fricking Nintendo. They haven't been in the power race for a while. This was a total given. Nintendo isn't going to try and sell something at a huge loss. Let me repeat, Nintendo is not going to sell something at a huge loss. The sooner some of you guys realize this, the better off NL will be. It doesn't matter if you want an Unreal engine, Nintendo wants money. If you want Unreal get a MS, Sony, and PC. But I'm sure some of already have these things, so why do you care. To troll?
