Topic: Organizing folders

With the new 5.2.0 update, how do you organize your games?

My setup is like this:

• Wii U Apps (the standard apps like Youtube, Parental Control, etc.)
• Games I play right now
• Other games I likely will play
• NES VC
• GBA VC
• SNES VC
• Games I will not play at all (but that other users on the console want to play)

I don't use them... I don't even have a single screen filled...

My setup is:

Video On Demand
Apps (though I left my Wii Menu icon floating out)
Demos
My single player games (not in a folder)
Multiplayer
The Awful Game (the folder only has The Letter in it)

Wait wait they added folders to the Wii U like the 3DS?

One for rare downloads and one for the other downloads.

I now have my first page filled with folders, it goes like...

Disc game | free | free | free | free
U Games | Download games | NES | SNES | GBA
Wii Menu | Video apps | Misc. | System apps | System Configuration

I left the four free spaces in the first row for my "playing right now" games.

I have one for E-Shop and one for each VC system. Also one for miscellaneous.

It's nice only having to deal with one screen now.

mine is very simple - I like to keep track of games by release year:

eShop 2012 | eShop 2013 | eShop 2014 | Applicazioni & Altro (apps & other) |

then folders with individual VC franchises
The Legend of Zelda | Super Mario Bros. | Castlevania |

I'll probably do NES/SNES/GBA folders once I get more varied games

i dont use wii u folders myself but if i ever did id give em some class, like this:

*real physical carts that no one has
*things to say to piss off crybaby gamers
*dont forget to buy 3 more copies of little samson
*emails sent to nintendo to persuade them to get rid of the virtual console
*follow up emails sent to nintendo to persuade them to get rid of the virtual console because it doesnt have any effect on me so i dont care who else takes a loss

thats just my list of folders im just classy like that

I only used enough folders to cram everything on the first page, except the BS Health and Parental Control apps. Those don't deserve a folder. I don't want to have an entirely blank screen, either, so I only made enough folders to keep my first page full.

Outside of folders:
Wii U disc
Wii Menu
System Settings
Mii Maker
Wii U Chat
Daily Log
Art Academy
Google Street U
Animal Crossing Plaza
...put Parental Controls and Health warning in the back page

Folders:
Nintendo(blue) - Nintendo Wii U games
3rd Party(Green) - 3rd Party Wii U games, including UPlay app
Indie(orange) - every smaller game goes in there
NES(grey) - NES games
SNES(purple) - SNES games
Video(red) - YouTube and Netflix

The folders are in the middle 3 columns and bottom 2 rows, with the programs outside the folders wrapping around them from top to bottom on my list. I would take a pic, but I don't have access to a PC right now.

Only set-up 2 folders. One for Demos and the next one Retro (VC games) on the second to last page. Everything else is out in the open and the page(s) is sorted by Apps, followed by Retail Downloads, then Download Exclusives.

That's a lot of empty folders

My 2nd page is nothing but the usual Wii U stuff (ie: Parental Controls, Activity Log, System Settings, etc).

Here's my first page. All of my games can now reside here!

_{I had to, for the moment, temporarily delete SM3DW from my wii u's internal hard drive because I've ran out of space!}

All mine are blue at the moment. How do you select a different colour?

If you click on the folder you created it will give you options to edit the folder's color, name, and even delete it if you want.

I have four folders. Wii U, Wii U Eshop, VC and Demos. That puts everything on the first page except for the apps that i don't use which are on the last page.

I wish you could copy a game and put it into multiple folders, but this is a step in the right direction.

Right now I have one page with my disc icon, Netflix, Hulu, Wii menu and Mii Maker on the top row, a few games I play frequently on the bottom row (currently Game and Wario, Wii Fit U, Wii Party U, Wii Sports Club and Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate) and the middle row is my folders divided by system (Wii U eShop, GBA, SNES, NES and Other/Settings [for the Panorama View videos, Google Street U, the Wii U Chat, Settings, Daily Log and Advisory]).

I'd like to have a second page, though, in which I could put folders based on gameplay genres for whenever I'm trying to figure out what I'm in the mood to play, or maybe want to have quick access to all my multiplayer games in one place.

I don't use them. Got about 3 1/2 pages full but I can remember what page stuff is on.

Maybe if I get up to about 200 apps I might start using them.
