Minecraft is more of a Lego simulator than an actual game. So technically, he hasn't even made a game yet. Notch is kindred spirits with the Wii U and is actually praising it because they both have "no games".
I'm surprised that many of you didn't understand the joke.
Being a joke doesn't mean that it can't be criticised for being lame, making the joke because you want something doesn't block it from criticism either.
Notch needs to admit that he sucks at comedy and leave it at that.
That's pretty standard backpedaling. Guy was trying to make a topical joke that hasn't been topical since before E3, and then he discovered Nintendo's loud, obnoxious internet following and is suddenly an out-of-the-closet Nintendo fan.
So Anakin kneels before Monster Mash and pledges his loyalty to the graveyard smash.
I think we all learned today that Notch needs to be interested in more games. Should we all tweet suggestions to him?
