Notch gives me the impression that he isn't very gracious for the success that his game has gotten. Doesn't seem to be a humble individual from what I've seen of his public statements...

As for Minecraft, to be honest I don't care if it comes out on Nintendo consoles, sure it can make more fans but for me it got boring after a while...so no loss for me.

My confusion with the joke is that it's coming from a guy who has 1 unfinished game to his name, and it's half a year late. It kinda falls flat when Nintendo is the only console manufacturer in the business right now with a fairly solid Holiday 2014 line-up. It's like making a joke about superheroes being for fat, sweaty basement-dwellers a month after The Avengers hit theaters.
