Meh, my Double Dash team is Toad and Bowser Jr., so I will miss him. That said, there are seven Koopalings to choose from so it's not that big of a deal.

But Diddy Kong? No idea why they removed him.

Maybe the emphasis is that this is a Mario Kart game and we're slowly transitioning back to characters exclusive to the Mario universe. DK is a long term veteran, being in every game except one.

I personally prefer Bowser Jr. to the Koopalings. I don't really have a history with any of them, though, so it's whatever.

I don't know what everyone is talking about, it has all the necessary characters

I mained King Boo in Mario Kart Wii, so his absence does make me a bit sad. Although I ended up maining Shy Guy in MK7, and he returns here, so I may continue maining Shy Guy or go back to classic Yoshi. It's a bit sad that the 3rd row of the roster matches the 1st row, only with baby and metal characters instead. Still hoping for unlockables though. I also really wanted N64 Double Decker to return in battle mode, so I hope there's more to it than the race tracks. (although N64 Yoshi Valley and N64 Toad's Turnpike definitely help!) Those are my only gripes with the game, everything else is amazing!

I'm happy Waluigi is back and of course I will always be rocking my dude Yoshi.

Toadette looks dope and I'll also give DK and one of the Koopalings a look. With 30 characters there's so much to choose from even with a lot of them being clones. Out of all the babies I'm going with Luigi.

Hope they have unlockable characters too

Ludwig, shy guy and lakitu are my mains. I'm so excited, also the yoshi bike is cool xp it even moves its arms

Oddly, I've found myself warming up to Pink Gold Peach. She's so shiny! Typical mains were Luigi, Daisy & Rosalina but recently I've been racing with Mario so I guess I might go from there.

I've almost always played as Bowser. The only exception was Mario Kart Wii where I wasn't too happy with the way the heavy karts felt. So on that game I played as either Bowser Jr or Diddy Kong. I'll most likely go with Bowser again with this one.

If not there are the Koopalings which cover all of the weight classes. Odds are I'll probably rotate between Bowser, Morton and Roy

I'll probably play as ludwig among others, I mean look at that hair. And Beethoven is just awesome.

Well seeing as Diddy Kong might not be playable I'll be using Lakitu, Koopa Troopa, Yoshi and maybe a koopaling as well my mii.

I'll mainly be using Yoshi (Loved him in 64, MKDS and 7) Toad, (Loved him in MKDD and DS), Shyguy (MK7 he was my main), Lemmy, and Rosalina. I may try out Baby Rosalina, but only because she's my favorite princess
