If there's one thing Platinum is good at, it's making amazingly flashy and satisfying combat. When it comes to boss battles in Zelda, it's obviously quite epic to ride on Morpheel's back and stab it, but let's face it, sometimes we could use a bit more finesse, or some more intensity. Imagine how well Platinum could have made the Ganondorf boss in TP. I think it would be most interesting to see what their collaborative efforts could achieve. But what are your thoughts?

I'd rather Nintendo just handle it.

As much as I love Platinum, their hyper/insane visual style wouldn't fit in with the Zelda series at all. I could never imagine a boss fight like the ones in W101 or Bayonetta being tacked onto a Zelda game and not having it feel out of place.

Nah I'd rather them see them do Takumaru or Startropics. Plus Platnium's next game is rumored to be coming from Microsoft.

I love Platinum but there would be too much going on. Nintendo would have to dictate 80 percent of the game, so I think Nintendo should
take full control of Zelda.

Considering how much Okami rocked, (For those unfamiliar, Platinum pretty much is Clover) I vote yes.

Yes. And on that note, Okami needs a Wii U port... I wouldn't have any problem with them working on a Zelda game, but right now I'd rather it be a collaborative project with the Zelda team, since they still haven't made an HD game. Nintendo would probably test their abilities on a less popular franchise though first, like Metroid or Star Fox.

I'd prefer if Nintendo handled a vast majority of it and maybe enlisting the help of Retro Studios and Monolith Soft to assist them. I don't think Platinum is really fit to make a Zelda game. They're more fit for the frantic beat em up genre.

I think Nintendo should enlist Platinum to revive Urban Champion.

I miss Japanese games, the good stuff... Games that are imaginative, have good and unique gameplay, a great soundtrack, and replay value.

If anything, Nintendo should let Platinum work on a Star Fox game. Their style would fit pretty well with the series.

I have no interest in seeing Platinum make any Nintendo games. I think Kamiya is a bit of a douche.

Platinum games don't sell.
Nintendo wouldn't risk it, the style won't appeal to most Zelda fans anyway.

Douche is a relative term. Different people have different opinions on what makes someone a douche. For me, if you're a licensed developer for a company (i.e. Nintendo) then it doesn't look very good for you to say negative things about said company. He's the one that brought up the idea of making a Starfox game and then he got upset when people asked him about it. If he didn't want people asking him about it, perhaps he shouldn't have brought it up in the first place. He clearly has anger issues that, to me, doesn't make him look very good to publicly expose that. I also don't think it makes a professional look very good to call potential customers "f****** idiots."

But, of course, this is just my opinion. That's why I said, "I think" before that statement, and then I showed examples of why I think that. If you like those attributes of his, then that's fine with me. Different strokes for different folks.

@DudeSean You do realize that Hiroshi Yamauchi was one of the biggest jerks in the industry, correct? Way moreso than Kamiya. Yet do you still play and enjoy (emphasis on enjoy) nintendo games? Yes, you do. Yamauchi was completely rude and pompous, but he was a brilliant man. Kamiya may be rude, but he can make some great flipping games. It's not like their obnoxiousness shines through their work, like that stanley parable guy.

Its probably mentally straining dealing with the amount of tweets he constantly receives (I would probably go crazy).

@Wonder_Mask Yamauchi was a businessman, not a game designer. I expect no less from a businessman.

@Jazzer94 Well, then, maybe he shouldn't be on twitter. Or he could just not read all the "tweets" that he gets. Or instead of cussing people out on twitter he could just go in a different room and meditate. I can't feel sorry for someone who constantly puts themselves in a position that upsets them.
