Hahahaha!

Bayonetta 2? I'm good but thanks anyway.

I'm willing to give it a chance. I almost got the first game but...then...I didn't. No reason I can remember. I mean, I thought Platinum Games' other game that year, Vanquish, is pretty overrated but hey if I've been willing to give N-space another chance I'm more than willing to play a beloved game from a beloved developer.

I love Platinum Games and their software, so getting a sequel to Bayonetta is a big deal for me. This and The Wonderful 101 are gonna be awesome.

Looking forward to: Mario & Luigi: Dream Team

Still surprised about this. In a good way. Probably going to pick up the first game on the PS3. It's pretty cheap now.

Use caution. Unless there's been a patch (there may have been, i don't know), the PS3 version reportedly was loaded with glitches. If memory serves, the PS3 version was ported by a different studio, which may have been why the game ran so poorly.

Yea that's why I stayed away from the game. Though I do think they patched most the problems.

I was fairly impressed by the first one. The story didn't mean much to me, it was kinda silly in some places but since I knew Kamiya was directing it was all about the gameplay. It had everything I wanted from a third person action game.

What is particularly interesting is that Nintendo are publishing it. What does this mean?
It will likely be a Nintendo exclusive until the end of time. Sega published the first one and because it didn't sell very well they wouldn't publish a sequel.

Here's what they had to say:
Bayonetta is a brand that we want to see become stronger, reaching the hands of more and more gamers, so we have continued to consult with Sega, the previous game's publisher, on how we can make sure this takes place. Our answer was a new partnership with Nintendo.

You can expect Bayonetta 2 to take full advantage of the WiiU's capabilties because the developers don't need to worry about what will happen when the game goes multi-platform because it won't go multi-patform. No doubt you've all heard about all the butt hurt from Bayonetta fans and cursing Nintendo but it was Nintendo that made the sequel possible in the first place.

I haven't played the first Bayonetta. Does that make me a bad person?

I Googled it and it seems that they patched the loading issues, Still, as long as it's not unplayable i'll porbably buy it sometime. Does anyone know if there is a demo on the PS3?

The original Bayonetta was a very good game. I am excited that Nintendo isn't wasting any time trying to snatch up big exclusives for themselves. They have already made a lot of PS3/360 owners very mad by doing this. Personally, as a gamer, I'd buy Bayonetta 2 no matter what system it was released for. But, I do have to admit I'm excited to know that as a Wii U exclusive it will mean that we don't get a half-arsed port.

I've not played Bayonetta, but did have a crack at DMC on PS2...really enjoyed the gunplay/combat combo juggling, which Bayonetta looks to have

Is Bayonetta's difficulty equally as punishing?

Edit: After a bit of googling, I've discovered that Bayonetta's difficulty is comparable to DMC, but with respawn on death, instead of sending you back to the start of the stage.

Looking forward to giving this a play. I may well end up being a new fan

Those gamers will get over it. I was upset when I wasn't going to see JSRF, Buffy, or Panzer Dragoon on my Dreamcast, but that didn't stop me from buying an Xbox.
