@Towels
Bayonetta's difficulty is perfect, especially since — for those who suck at these kinds of games — it has the Easy and Very Easy "one button" modes. But yeah, once you get into the Hard and Non Stop Infinite Climax difficulties, it can get brutally punishing. But it's that "insanely good-hard" kind of difficulty. Having beaten the game multiple times on every difficulty (well, not on the easy ones, i didn't bother with them except for fun on a few levels), i can say that if you love painfully punishing hardness, play through on Hard first.

Urban Champion is GLORIOUS.

Thanks for the heads up. Games like these have to be pretty brutal to make them fun, so it's good to hear.

I don't think I'll ever match your Bayonetta skills though!

Like a lot of the games on the Wii U so far, I am a little put off by not having played the first chapter in the series. Will wait and see what the reviews say...

The first game can be as found as cheap as $9 right now so I recommended just piecing it up. Unless your problem is not having a ps3 or 360 which I understand.

I played the first one and loved it- very excited for the sequel, which I'll definitely buy!

We got to see some new enemies and a new weapon (maybe) which looked like whips on both of her feat... then again that might just be another enemy I saw.

That's what's stopping me. This is the Wii U game I'm looking forward to above all others though.

Still surprised about this. In a good way. Probably going to pick up the first game on the PS3. It's pretty cheap now.

Use caution. Unless there's been a patch (there may have been, i don't know), the PS3 version reportedly was loaded with glitches. If memory serves, the PS3 version was ported by a different studio, which may have been why the game ran so poorly.

I did not know this. Thanks for enlightening us.

So I'm gonna finally pick up the first game sometime this week. Woot.

I would too but I heard a rumor that it might get released on the eShop so I am going to try to hold off until Bayonetta 2 has a release date it self. If Bayonetta 2 gets a release date with no news about a Bayonetta 1 eShop edition then I will get it on Xbox.

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

Eh, I wouldn't doubt they use the gamepad somehow so considering the original is pretty cheap now it might be worth double dipping.

This is true... now you have me second guessing...

I was estatic. I loved the first game and was disappointed that B2 had been cancelled. Seeing it, not only announced, but announced as a Wii U exclusive, was icing on a delicious Princess Peach made cake!

Now I have played Bayonetta many times over on several difficulty levels (it's one of the 3 games I own for my 360) and I have to say, if it gets re-released on the Eshop there will be nothing stopping me from buying it. If it has special gamepad features (like the ability to change your weapons / costume on the fly) then it will just be a super huge bonus for me! So very happy we get to play Bayonetta 2!

To be honest I wouldn't mind playing as Jean every once in a while but not the entire time! I buy Bayonetta to play as Bayonetta!

i never "freaked out" at the announcement of Bayonetta 2 but i was pleased because i love the first game and the fact that we are getting a sequel at all is good news
