For me it's hard to decide between Super Mario 3D World, Super Mario 64 DS and Super Mario Bros. 3, but 3D World wins because I feel it controls better.

GBA: Can't say Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga, so none
DS: Super Mario 64 DS, New Super Mario Brothers
3DS: Super Mario 3D Land
N64: Super Mario 64
GCN: Super Mario Sunshine
Wii: Super Mario Galaxy
Wii U: Can't say Mario Kart 8, so none
Super Mario Sunshine is my absolute favourite for it's creative designs and greater challenge, closely followed by Super Mario World for ingenious level designs and extremely fun mechanics, and then Super Mario 3D World for the superb soundtrack.
My favorite Mario platformer is 3D World. It has a nice polish, great soundtrack, and amazing gameplay. I especially love the different characters, multiplayer, and variety of items and power-ups. My favorite 2D Mario is probably NSMBW.
Not much to say here. I like Nintendo. That's about it.
For 3D, If we're counting the main series spinoffs, it's Super Mario RPG. I would do horrible, unspeakable, unforgivable things for a true sequel (I don't consider Paper Mario and the M&L series to be "true" sequels).
