I completed level 7, and—as Oregano said—it was a breeze, but enjoyable nonetheless...

@shinesprite: Eh, that sounds like too much of a bother for me, plus, it kind of kills the thrill of waiting for a new level to unlock each day...

Just wanted to hop in to say that we really enjoy your comments so far

If you want to jump on some penguins in squirrel costumes or just love fresh forest air the new world might be your place to go Yes, the forest world starts today! That's what I wanted to say...

I know it's too soon for a proper announcement but any ideas what you guys will be doing now? I'd love a 3DS game from you guys.... or a Wii game... or a DS game... or a 360 game... basically on any of the platforms I own.

@Oregano I think they're planning on releasing Mission in Snowdriftland for WiiWare. This is probably intended to warm them up for it. If my assumptions are correct, Its certainly working. I had zero interest in this game two weeks ago. Now if they release it for WiiWare or DSiWare, I'll probably get it.

So far, the forest levels are meh.
Level 8 was mostly about being cautious/patient rather than requiring timed jumps/precise landings. So far, it seems as if the difficulty level resets when you switch to a new environment.

As for visuals:
The ice stages were great.
The forest . . . not so much. The scenery is good, but the walking trees and web spiders are a bit hard on the eyes. As for the Raccoon penguins, they remind me of Chowder.

@tons of bits: While the forest world seems a bit easy, it's nice to breathe a sigh of relief and not have to worry about slipping off ice and falling into the cold water. The extra heart I got from level 6 is quite the welcome addition, though...

We are glad that some of you are interested in our work. And to be honest, we actually don't know what will come next. The calendar sucks up nearly all of our time. When we start a project we want to do it with 100%, investing all our passion and focus into it. Even if it's a non-profit project and we have to put extra money on top it's something we enjoy and believe that it is a good idea. We are happy that there are people in the gamer community who appreciate this, makes us believing that we don't waste our time

Regarding the Forest levels: Throughout the calendar the difficulty of levels will vary. It won't increase with higher levels constantly as there are personal preferences in playing. For instance some players feel more comfortable with timing passages, others prefer situations where reaction is important. We still hope that every player will find something which suits his playing style best. All I can say is that for me personally the cave levels are the hardest So enjoy the other worlds as long as you can

@tons of bits: Your efforts on this calendar are definitely appreciated, and they're certainly not a waste of time...

@Odnetnin So far, I'm unable to change the date. I can however play levels 18 hours in advance. I've been looking in to finding a way to set the date ahead (without simply adding my 18 hours), but so far, no dice.

To see the downloads for the levels so far, please check the list.

@Odnetnin I set my computer's time forward-most by changing the time zone to (UTC +13:00) Nuku'alofa.

Also, Toki Tori, Super Meat Boy, Joy Joy, and Dive: The Medes Island Sectet are now contenders!

Level 8 was one of the more easier levels.

@shinesprite: Dude, not all of us want the levels spoiling a day in advance. Wrap the whole thing in spoiler warnings if you're gonna do that

I thought I made the spoiler warnings quite clear and if you noticed, I didn't just post the pics in plain view. If you know of a better way I can further warn the user (maybe through an expandable post), then I'm all ears.

Well, you could've spoilered the "The day Is finally upon us, Door 9 is none other than BIT.TRIP FLUX!" bit and the description of the level itself.
