Good choice friend. I got so sick of IGN's Negativity towards anything Nintendo. They give the most uninformed IGNorant reviews I've ever seen. I also get the feeling that Sony and Microsoft are paying them to bash and degrade Nintendo games. It's really getting rediculous lately. As far as they are concerned if it ain't next gen it's crap and I will be reading my reviews here at this site from now on. These people you can trust to give honest non biased reviews.

I take it the editorial entitled "Blinded by Mario" from Dameon Hatfeild on Friday is what put you over the edge.
I just read that article, and, actually, I was pleasantly surprised by the comments on it. Sure there was a fair share of morons, but for the most part, they weren't Nintendo fanboys whining about the article, nor were they Sony/Microsoft fanboys bashing Nintendo. There were people who gave 'Splosion Man good words, but acknowledged that this guy is full of crap. And I thought IGN was completely full of morons. I guess there's still hope.
That's what I did about a year ago. I guess it was the right choice, 'cuz of the community(for the most part, I find people here to be slightly more civilized), but for the most part, I wouldn't exactly say it's the better site - the news articles can be downright cringe-worthy, and while it's been a while since I've read a review around here, I recall them generally being a mixed bag. But, if you're looking for a Nintendo-biased site, populated by Nintendo Fanboys, I think you'll be right at home.
I don't know why people get so mad when people read those IGN article. When I read them I see people who really really love Nintendo but hate the direction they are taking and want them to go in a direction which they believe is a better one.
And I'm sorry, but with the Nintendo is lazy and the Mario blinded thing, they make A LOT of good points and ones that's been bothering me for a long time, but I guess since it's on the Internet, it's easier to just be either on one side of the fence instead of meeting in the middle and discussing it, which is a far superior way of looking at these articles.
Don't agree? Fine, then let's talk about it, it's fun, enlightening and really something fans should be talking about, but just saying IGN is dumb and IGNorant doesn't seems to be the "I'm cool too" thing to do.

I agree. IGN does make good points when pointing out the strengths and flaws of Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft. A lot of Nintendo fanboys forget than IGN tore Microsoft a new one with their feelings about the 360 hardware failures and they ripped Sony apart for their Sixaxis/No Rumble debacle and their pricing points (for the PSP(go) and the PS3 before the price drop). I'm a Nintendo fan and I share many of IGN's gripes when it comes to Nintendo (lackluster online gaming/community, friend codes, etc.).
