Which Zeldas have you played? Zelda 2 is the most different game in the series, and some (including myself) would argue that it's the worst.

I'd say get Link's Awakening. I think it's much better. And it has awesome Game Boy sound effects (hitting bosses feels so good ). It's closer to the original than Zelda 2, and it has a lot of cool little things that just make it great.

Zelda II if you want that classic NES challenge and a different experience outside of the norm.

Link's Awakening if you want the casual, expected experience.

id say go for zelda 2 if you dont mind a good challenge. if challenge isnt what your looking for then get links awakening.

Some would argue (including myself) that it's one of the best games.

They're both good games, though, so either choice was a good choice.

You won't regret it. Zelda 2 is worth a try though, but Link's Awakening is essential.
