Hey if anyone has LM:DM,MK7,KI:U,S&ASR, RE: TM 3D and SSF43D and would like to play, add me.

Drawdler

I have not played many bad 3DS games as I tend to just buy those that I know I will like. However, Skylanders: Giants is by far the worst of those that I have. Poor setup, lack of polish, consistent bugginess, lack of interesting level design, and a lot of general issues really drag down what would have been an ok game. It's also completely inferior to its prequel(besides adding new characters). I knew that I was never going to like it from the trailer and the fact that n-Space were making it but the only reason that I got it was because of Punch Pop Fizz who was going for prices that I may as well have bought the game anyway.
And I do actually like Heroes of Ruins in occasional doses, which n-Space made, but judging by that game's problems, I knew that they weren't fit to make a platforming game like this...

Same with Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater 3D????

My GAWD, that terrible control scheme. It renders the game unplayable, don'tcha know.

People like you doesnt want to change and accept new things. The control scheme is good, better than xbox's cod controlls.. Im not being hypocritical. The story is good, collectibles are endless and online play is hella fun (killing noobs)...

if MH4 gets released to west, Im not surprised if you'll complain about the controls.

plus, you have Dark Pit's prof pic ... idk if that means something .....

Curious to know what you would change to improve the controls on Xbox 360 (and presumably PS3) for Call of Duty games. If it's done badly, what's it missing? Just curious, because for all the flaws of COD, the one thing people almost universally agree that it gets right is the controls. What would you change?

You can't bring more than one weapon on a mission. I said that that's where strategy comes in, did I not?

Strategy for what exactly? The game's adjustable difficulties make it very easy to simply complete the game with just about any weapon. Even with 9 intensities, the strategy goes as far as picking my best weapon, not a weapon ideal for the situations presented by the chapter as their designs carry little impact.

3Dash wrote:

Pop the cart out if you die. And, guess what, again, strategy. You gotta make it through 10-20 minutes of battles without dying. But, however you wanna look at it.

Dying doesn't reset a chapter, it brings me back to the last check point within the chapter. No save points in the actual chapters isn't about strategy, it's about how much time I'm willing to be forced to play the game to ensure progression. Had the game been more enjoyable, this wouldn't have been much of an issue considering we're dealing with 10-20 minute segments.

Curious; have you even completed the game yet?

I surprised myself and cleared Chapter 25 before the game's year anniversary, so yes, I've beaten the game.

Seriously? Mario's power ups have fixed locations, the levels are always the same, they never change.
By selecting a different weapon in Kid Icarus each level can change drastically, you'll need to aproach things differently.

Mario's power-ups are located in the "?" blocks and other block-based locations, but where those blocks are varies with each level as potentially the power-ups they store. Now the second comment is wrong, and I'm not sure why you felt the need to exaggerate like that. I mean a level that takes place on a moving platform for most of its duration is certainly a lot different than a level where the player's movements aren't restricted. There's plenty of examples of different levels even with the same themes. Take NSMB2's 1-1 and 1-2, the former focusing on Goomba towers and music block platforming where as the latter aims its focus at using POW blocks to open up the coruse and vertical moving platforms (up or down). Again, factually wrong, levels are mostly different.

I don't see how approaching enemies differently qualifies as a level changing drastically, especially when no weapon can alter the actual level's themselves nor do they have any purpose beyond combat situations. Now Mario has that, like how in 2-2 of New Super Mario Brothers 2, Mario can use the Gold Flower to clear out a tunnel of blocks and fill his pockets.

Have you actually played KI:U online ?? Man, you must be a sad gamer, it doesn't matter if its repetitive as long as its fun to play .... .. . same goes with people complaining about console specs, fuckin sad people.

It saddens me that so many people hate Kid Icarus. It's such a fantastic game and so much effort went into it.

But, this IS a thread for games that are actually bad, not just subjectively so. For example, a game with loads of glitches, or indisputably poor controls/level design.

I'd go for Myst 3D. Glitchy, and the pointer arrow always snapping back to the centre - no one can argue that's a good control scheme for a point and click game!

I am soooo sick of seeing Call of Duty on this site!!!
All Call of Duty leads to in these forums is fights...... go figure.'
Seriously the last 4 threads I went to, people were fighting about COD this COD that. Shut up. Go somewhere else if you want to talk about COD.
I personally hope COD gets driven in the ground in the near future so I never have to see it again!!!!!!

There's no fight, except for you telling me to shut up. Grow up.

I just find it odd that the controls in those games are the thing that keeps it selling (sure as hell isn't the story) and a LOT of people are disappointed by the controls in KI:U, which for some people has tainted what would otherwise be a fantastic game. I was wondering what it is about both control schemes that the other poster felt was good/bad. My query was perfectly reasonable, as was his opinion, and there's no fighting. If you're upset at what you read here, nobody is making you stay.

Adding to another Myst post I just saw, wow it really does sound like the port has been badly handled. To be honest, regardless of its influence in gaming, even on other systems I must say Myst hasn't aged very well. Deserves its place in the hall of fame, but I think we should be just about done with the remakes. If we're going to remake a pseudo-point-and-click adventure, I'd love to have seen Grim Fandango remade in glorious 3D! But sadly that'll never happen now

I have been wondering how that game was. It looked really similar to SSB to me too. Not that, that would be a bad thing.

It was ok, I bought it hoping it would be perfect to play until Smash came out. I think I took it back a month later or something, lol.

In Squeeballs Party DS, I was promised over 70 minigames in 6 main game challenges, it turned out to be 6 minigames with over 70 repetitive levels

Wait... people hate Kid Icarus? That's my favorite game last year, as well as my favorite game on 3DS.
Zombie Slayer Diox is by far the worst 3DS title.

Worst 3DS game? No idea. Worst that I've played? Rayman 3D. It's so bad...

I was thinking of buying Rayman 3D in the near future, but then I read your opinion...
Can you name some of the reasons for being as bad as you say it is? You got me thinking...
The thing is, The Great Escape is still my favorite platform game, although it's been 9 years since I played it.

Tbh I don't get why Sticker Star is hated so much. Tbh I really liked it. I even have Paper Mario(the original) on my Wii, and much prefer Sticker Star.

(Well I hated it because) The game is based around turned based RPG battles where there is no experience or levelling - and winning battles only gets you coins. This would be alright if not for the fact that once I got through most of the first world I had more coins than I needed, and that made battles useless. It didn't help that the battle system was boring in general - it just seemed tedious rather than enjoyable having to go back and buy or find your attacks.

The platforming aspect of the game is almost non existent and there's too much backtracking through areas. There are no rewards for exploring apart from items which I have an unlimited supply of because of all my money - apart from the big items which you need to keep just for the bosses (Which by the way removes all strategy from the battles since it becomes use item X on boss Y). The story is predictable and enormously clichéd which is unfortunate in a Mario franchise that actually had story as a strong point. I also didn't find the puzzles satisfying - they just seemed like ways to slow you down and elongate the game even more.

By the end of me playing all I was doing was walking past enemies through levels, occasionally jumping and putting down a sticker until I managed to get to the end - it just became a chore.
