Really.....its a game made during the tsunami......and the fact that they released it during that time just shows how passionate Nintendo really was at that time.
Seriously....stop commenting on it not being innovative and all. Sure, its not as revolutionary as say 64 or even Galaxy but its still a great game regardless!
Heck its on my no one lists of my favorite 3DS games period! So unless guys like @skywake can say anything to make a valid point of why 3D Land isn't great, stop ranting about 3D Land being the least platformer you've ever played! XD
@Artwark I see where you're coming from here though other Nintendo games released around the same time didn't have this problem. Mario Kart 7 is the perfect example of which I think it's better than SMK, MK64, MKSC and the Arcade GP games, also being as good as MKDS. I know 64 not being considered as the best (or at least top 3) Mario Kart games is a very unpopular opinion though without local friends who like Nintendo games it's very bare in terms of content.
Regarding 3D Land, the main thing I disliked was the huge re-use of levels in the bonus worlds. Sure, once you did everything the final level was very fun in a difficulty and new way but that's after repeating about 30 of the same levels you've already played via bonus worlds. 3D World also had this problem but to a lesser extent as only around 15 were repeats.
It's like, I just love a cowboy
You know
I'm just like, I just, I know, it's bad
But I'm just like
Can I just like, hang off the back of your horse
And can you go a little faster?!

Well I was going too right this for the most part I'll add that bosses weren't varied or creative too, still a good game.
I wouldn't go so far as to call it mediocre, but I don't think it deserved all the praise it got when it came out. The second half of the game with the re-used levels is really a drag at times, and it's just worse because the game doesn't have any particularly creative level tropes and re-uses all those it has, plus you gotta go through all of them again with Luigi if you want the last level. Besides that, it's a lot of fun and sticks well to minimalist gameplay, sans some moments that're a tad too easy.
If you like it, awesome. If you don't like it, awesome. If someone else don't like/like something opposite from yours....that's their problem. It's opinion.
Was Mariobro4. No, I'm not taking off my backpack...it's important.
Plus, conditions that has been undergone during development (a tsunami) matters nothing. The end result is all that matters. Hopefully this won't be a can of worms but this is the kind of stuff you have do deal with in school and in jobs.
