I found the ad in one of my old GamePro magazines. I think Nintendo Power may of had the ad as well.

What sucks is that I actually pre-ordered the game (to get the gold cart) and when I went to pick it up, my cart was grey

Did you contact Nintendo and tell them so that you could get your gold cartridge?

@NintyFan I also loved the Biblical King James wording of the advertisment. I also noticed they did a loop on Shakespeare's Hamlet with the 'Get thee to a participating retailer' which is a play on 'get thee to a nunnery.'

The buildings look like they were painted by some fruit loop.

Are those... POLYGONS?! New town square is awesome. Sure the camera is still fixed, but my lord does it look so much better.

(Actually I can't really tell if it's polygons or just a nice hi res picture)

Are you guys going to play the original a bit to get hyped up for the remake? Or are you going to wait the next 2 months to make it feel as fresh as possible? Or play it throughly so you can spot the differences and new features?

I'm holding off from playing the original Ocarina of Time until the 3DS version comes out, so it feels fresh.

This was reported here on NintendoLife as well and misreported both times.

He says he'd like to see it as a 3D Classic, which is exactly the same as the virtual console but updated to have a 3D effect and we already knew that NES and SNES games are coming for that, so obviously Link to the Past is going to be one of them. That's what he was talking about, not a full remake or retail 3DS release.

I have it on my virtual console, and I am definitely going to just hold off. I mean I have beaten the game a handful of times, so while it may not feel super fresh playing it on the 3DS, it will be a bit more exciting of an experience being 3D, updated graphics, and portable.
