Isn't the 3D aspect of the 3DS more like a window instead of objects being able to fly at you?

the placement of the earphone port- the middle of the console will make it hard to listen to it w/ earphones while holding it in your pocket :(

Yeah... that kind of sucks. But on the other hand, it's easier to listen through headphones while playing a game right? Because before the headphone jack was right where your palm of your hand would be, and that made it uncomfortable to play with headphones plugged in. The was clearly Nintendo reason of moving it, other than the matter of available space inside the system.

yes, It really depends on how the developers make it. People (who have tried the 3DS of course) are saying that they've seen both depth and things popping out at you.

How will this be an issue?

I have gotten used to the placement of the stylus "sheath" in the cyrrent DS design, and adapting to this change will be difficult.

Yeah, you can easily use your index finger to slide the stylus out without even having to let go of the D-pad. Putting it at the back would make it awkward to switch to it.

The best strategy in the game: go up stairs and pause balls.

I'm still wondering why they never bumped up the megapixels for the camera. At least 1.0 megapixel would've eased my disdain but that's one thing I cannot let go of.

(And those shoulder buttons better be well, I can't stand having to blow in my shoulder buttons every other week to fix it.)

The only problem I can think of is if the shoulder buttons are going to be like with the ones on the DS, where they start to wear out after awhile, especially for the games that relay on them. Hopefully Nintendo will put more money into higher quality buttons.

I agree, I mean I realize its to keep the costs down, but I too would have liked a higher megapixel, though of course its no deal breaker, just one of those "coulda shoulda" things

The only downside for me would be getting in that 'sweet spot' Having to hold the 3DS 1 to 2 feet away from me seems alittle dissapointing to, as I usually hold my DS Lite actually alittle closer to my eyes. But the 3DS loses it's effect if seen too close or too far away when staring at the screen...

I know... The camera megapixals for the DSi and 3DS are so low compared to other devices. The new iPhone 4 has 5 megapixels, the new Google phone has 8, but the 3DS only has 0.3! Nintendo could definitely do a better job with this.

The lefty thing is the issue for me.

I don't get the camera problem, though. 0.3 is a good resolution for the 3DS's screens. It's not like anyone takes photos on their DSi for serious photography, it's just a toy to post quick pics on Facebook or morph someone's face. And with the 3DS taking 3D photos, it's even less likely that people will want to move them off the 3DS since they won't see it in 3D anymore.

Yeah I don't care much about the cameras, I only used the DSi's just to add some pics to show up as I start up the system. I mean yeah I'm gonna have fun taking 3D pics and goof around, but then again Paper Mario will probably will change that if its a launch title. xD

i think the original DS stylus is placed better than the newer ones. My younger brother has a DSi where the stylus regularly drops out, because the stylus-holder-thingy is broken.

Im also worried about the placement of the stylus sheath, wont that also mean a shorter stylus? I compared the length of the stylus to the up and down position of the dsi and noticed how it would not fit if it were out in the back

I am not accustomed to the Phat's layout, for I never purchased one.
I guess I'll have to get used to the layout when the 3DS is finally released.

It needs to come in purple. That's the only thing I won't like about it.
