Headaches...

My Starloggery

Main Final Fantasy & Quest/Shinobi Team fan...but I do like many SEGA games and a few Nintendo games.

I can be cute if I want to be, but I choose not to...as it's not my style.

It might not fit in my large, muscular hands...

I wouldn't like it very much if it didn't turn DS games to 3D.

I didn't like the fact that the DSi couldn't play GBA games, and the 3DS should be the same.
However, I could sell my DS once the 3DS comes out, and save my sister's GBA for GB/GBC/GBA games.

Im also worried about the placement of the stylus sheath, wont that also mean a shorter stylus? I compared the length of the stylus to the up and down position of the dsi and noticed how it would not fit if it were out in the back

No, it is telescopic. It slides into itself, and from what I have heard, auto extends as it is pulled out.

I have A LOT of games, if you want to play something, just email me jangonov@yahoo.com and ask if I have it. (make sure to say Nintendolife in the subject)

more uses for the motion control:

Wired.com: Is that going to be an issue, if people are developing games that use motion but that motion moves the 3-D screen out of a player’s field of view?

Konno: First of all, 3-D is not the only feature that we are pushing toward with this hardware. We think that there will be software that will emphasize motion control using the gyro. During our experiments, we have found that in a first-person shooter, we can use the sensor to move the aiming and the pointer. In that case, your line of sight is still quite rigid, your eyes are pointing at the screen, and so the 3-D effect won’t be diluted. So there is the possibility that both 3-D and motion control could be used in the same software.

i'd never thought of that...

Before I got my DSi, I use to deal with a DS Phat (the original). While I do think that having the stylus on the side is a convenience (especially in a game that switches from buttons to stylus a lot like Pokemon), it's not really that bad having the stylus in the back. A lot of games, if not all, give you plenty of time to whip out your stylus when you need it, or let you take your time to get your stylus out like Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story. The only real issues I had with the Phat is the size of the stylus (if you haven't seen it, it's a fourth of the size of a DSi stylus) and the lack of adjustable backlight, or even a backlight strong enough to see in sunlight. Oh darn, I'm ranting again. :P

Have you read impressions from people at E3? Many, if not all, reported they felt no headaches when viewing the screen. Now if only the 3D Glasses could manage to do that...

what i'm more interested in is that he said it was the final design at the end, so it looks like lefties (like me) are just going to have to adjust.

People who post "likes" and "dislikes" about anything. Trying to incite a fight...

I'll have to get use to using the stylus in my right hand. I also might have to get used to the new stylus. :P
