Topic: Is anybody interested in an Advance Wars for 3DS?

It's one of those franchises I'd love to get at least one game for 3DS at some point. Me and the brother in law spend a lot of time on the Multi card play in Dark Conflict to this day but a new instalment would be very much appreciated.

Is anybody else pining for a 3DS Advance Wars or this just a franchise that nobody else really gives a monkeys about?

ALL OF MY YES. Advance wars days of ruin really got me to love the series even though it wasnt the most liked entry.

Yeh I quite liked the Dystopian theme even if a lot of the characters came across as generic good guys and pantomime villains but that's just how Advance Wars is really.

It seems almost like days of ruin was a sort of reboot the gameplay was solid and the art was nice sadly I think days of ruin might have killed the series.

Personally I have no interest in the series, but I still think this would be a good idea for Nintendo. It's odd that they made two games for the GBA and two for the original DS and then just dropped it entirely when the 3DS came along. I think a lot of fans would be happy if Nintendo brought this series back.

The GBA games weren't even released in Japan until years after their release in the West, and Days of Ruin wasn't even released there at all. I don't think the series is popular over there, and like metroid and f zero, that means it is basically dead to Nintendo (or at least it seems that way). And with Intelligent Systems making a new Fire Emblem and Codename STEAM amongst other things, they might not have time for an advance wars. I know there was a report that they were making another one, but it seems unlikely any time soon.

Yes. I've been playing Advanced war since the gameboy days. It's also one of the main reason why I got my DSL. It's pretty sad it still haven't showed up for the 3DS.

i love(d) "days of ruin / dark conflict" on DS. the setting was awesome. i am quite angry that intelligent systems is now making the second fire emblem game for 3DS instead of one advance wars game. i really hate fire emblem. advance wars is so much better IMO.

i still play the DS game from time to time. the level editor is really nice

Hell yeah!!!! I so wish for a 3ds version. I never played days of ruin because of the direction they took. Absolutely refused to touch that game.I loved the crew before Days of ruin and felt they ruined the series because of it.

Yes, it would be my biggest announcement of E3 other then Metroid of which I'm hoping for 2 versions for that.

I was pleasantly surprised with how the GBA advance wars felt on Virtual console. You could just sit and pass the gamepad around and still have the tv to look at or to watch something else while you waited your turn.

I wouldn't mind a bit of cross-play if they did that where the Wii U owner would keep the gamepad and other people could use their 3DS's for themselves if they wanted.

But now I'm just going into dream territory, I'd take a new game wherever they wanted to make it tbh.

Whatever they do, I just hope they do something so I can have all the characters...Though the only character I care about in the DoR game is Isabella, lol
