Topic: Is anybody interested in an Advance Wars for 3DS?

It would be neat at E3. Speaking of metroid. I'd bet money that there will be announcement for a metroid game. 30th anniversary of Metroid is next year. What better way than to announce one for Q1 2016 at E3 2015. Maybe an official Metroid 2 remake unlike a few floating around the interwebs.

Advance Wars=ACE. I'd love to see a touch control version of even the first game on 3DS. A new version would be very welcome.

Fire Emblem is also ace. I would happily buy and play both

I'd like to see them do it on Wii U actually. The 3DS will be saturated on turn-based strategy. Whereas the Wii U has none.

3DS should get a new Advance Wars and WiiU should get Batallion Wars 3.
I have no idea why people keep complaining about Days of Ruin, because its setting was my favourite with all the gritty yet cartoony graphics. I would love them to tackle an even more futuristic themes, in style of Ace Combat.
Just connect it to tank/plane/boat Amiibo and everyone buys it.

I like Advance Wars more than Fire Emblem, and it saddens me Intelligent Systems is making yet another FE (no matter how awesome the series is) over a possible Advance Wars.

I have played all the games in the series and have loved all of them. Including Days of Ruin with its dystopian storyline and toned down CO powers and a lot of different units.

It's my favorite as well. I like the darker tone it took as this is war after all. Its fits better with the theme in my opinion. It had people I wanted to hate and like all the same and was more balanced then the others. I haven't heard many people complain about it but when I do it's always mostly about the darker colors and lifeless areas. Its war torn for crying out loud people.

i wish advance wars would be even more dark.

Never played any of it, but the series does look interesting. Though, as others said above me, we're getting kinda saturated on strategy games as of late, at least on the 3DS.

Can I ask any of the veterans how good Advance Wars gets then? I played the GBA original for about half an hour but didn't really get anywhere and I own Dual Strike. Only played a few missions. It only seems OK at the moment though. Not seeing where this supposed metacritic 90% is hiding. Does it keep getting better or am I just not into it?

the missions get better. at the start you dont have too many choice when it comes to units. skirmishes are the best. where everything is unlocked

Absolutely. I have over 200 hours on Dual Strike. Megatanks + Multiplayer + Map Editor = best DS game ever.
Days of Ruin fixed a lot of the issues with Dual Strike but I couldn't stand the art style and the removal of Megatanks made me sad.
If they made another with Megatanks back, more units/buildings and all the mechanical upgrades from Days of Ruin, that would be like, the best 3ds game ever.

I like a good strategy game, and Advance Wars gives the Intelligent Systems folks a different world to play in. I'd like to see one, though I don't think it needs to be a gritty version. I don't want to just lean on Fire Emblem for these kinds of games on the system, either.

I also wouldn't mind more people chiming in with new features they would like to see the series take on if it did get a 3DS iteration. I know you guys are all creative minds so by all means get your ideas down for us to see!

I would like to see them use some of the military madness gang up moves. As in the more surrounded your enemy is the weaker he gets. For instance if you have a unit directly in front and behind it would reduce their stats by half and give you a boost in yours. I've always wondered why they never did this. Makes sense in the military aspects of it. You attack anyone from front and behind you wouldn't stand much of a chance however you would take some damage but not as much. Also the more units you have in that circle the stronger you get and the weaker your opponent gets.

Sorry, I do like Advance Wars but not nearly as much as FE. And given the choice, I'll take FE every time. Even if we already have 2, Id still rather take a 3rd FE over AW.

Maybe if they had their B team do it, or the group that did Code Name STEAM since it's obviously not the same team working on FE14. That would work.
