Honestly, Etrian Odyssey III was fine as-is. Not to mention I could go an eternity before playing another story-oriented Etrian Odyssey game, and it would still be too soon.

Yes!!! I almost wish they would also port it to the Switch but this will be a great reason to play my 3ds again.

Honestly, if I lived in the EU I'd get an NA 3DS, a hefty SD card, and just download my games from there.

God, I'm so happy right now. This is an INCREDIBLE year to be an Atlus fan.

There was a Japanese demo right? Really hope they do the same proper demo treatment they've done for the others!

Edit: just saw the top post and answered my question but I don't want to click that video. I want to save what little I know about this for when it comes out.

@Spoony_Tech They probably will. Considering we got demos for IV and both Untold games, it'd be weird to break that tradition now.

As to spoilers... I guess you might spoil the music for yourself. I've already done that, though. FYI, this game has an amazing OST.

Between EO V and the remake of SJ, it's looking like Q4 2017/Q1 2018 is pretty much booked. I'll still make time for Mario Odyssey, though.

2017 is going down in the history books for me as one of the best years in gaming ever.

According to Gematsu, we've got English VO. With player characters now having selectable voices, I was afraid they wouldn't dub it if the game came west.
Radiant Historia also gets English VO, making the least marketed one of them Strange Journey Redux (no dub, not even an announcement trailer).

@Spoony_Tech How would they do a switch port unless they made it handheld only?
Also, glad you've kept unspoiled. I've been jamming to the best final boss and post-game boss themes in the series for months now.

I don't think this series is a good match for the Switch. The real-time cartography is one of its defining aspects.

EO V/VI on Wii U would have been awesome, but we know that'll never happen.

@CrazedCavalier Why couldn't it be optimised for the tv. Well it was just wishful thinking as I want the Switch to do well and more games always helps. It was made for the 3ds and I do still like my 3d on full blast.

@Ralizah Well if it the series ever goes to a VI then I hope it stays Nintendo and the Switch would be the logical choice.

All the dialogue is going to be fully voiced in English as well.

@Ralizah I'm shocked they're going with the cheaper price as didn't both the remakes get the 50$ price tag? Guess 32$ for me but I'll have to renew my Best Buy membership around then so another 30$. Seems like I'll be saving 10$ I normally would've paid for EOV!

@Spoony_Tech For a few years, almost all of their 3DS games were $49.99. None of the recently announced ones cost more than $39.99, though. Looks like the Atlus tax is finally dead!

When I got Etrian Odyssey IV it was $39.99. That was 2013, IIRC.
