Expedition 33 deserves basically every award it can get this year (especially soundtrack!) Plenty of fun games this year, but yeah, Expedition 33 is kind of the best thing I've played in years.
I think my cat still got more bitterant that time she went to take a huge nom out of something I had coated in bitter spray to prevent evil (she spent the next 15 minutes trying to lick her own tongue off, and being an idiot, kept trying to nom it for several more days before deciding to be cat and just knock it over)
Wahoo! Glad someone else scooped both them and the Hi Fi Rush IP up! I hope that, for Microsoft, this goes down in history as Blockbuster passing on buying Netflix levels of short sighted.
Damn, looks like not enough people reviewed the Avatar: Quest for Balance game either (in addition to Skull Island)
So glad other people have platinumed those games for my personal entertainment so I don't have to touch any of them with a thirty nine and a half foot pole
Inkling because we had no idea we were even looking at a Smash Ultimate trailer until the Inkling's eye came in to focus. We had assumed it was a Splatoon related thing, only to get blind sided by it actually being a Smash thing.
Joker is a close second though, because we got this stylish animated trailer with that sudden invitation during a totally unrelated event (Game Awards), and having that suddenly drop was amazing. We weren't even expecting the first DLC trailer at the time. Joker himself also opened the possibilities for potential fighters (at that time, Persona 5 hadn't even been on Switch)
I quite enjoyed Magi Nation, wish more people would give it a chance (it's based on a card game, but I had no problem with zero knowledge of this before hand, it just came off as more of a really good Pokemon knockoff with hilarious dialogue)
Fi was the absolute worst. After playing SS and going to play OoT after, all I could think was "Why did everyone find Navi so annoying again? She's so quiet! And she's not totally grinding gameplay to a halt to tell me my health is low!"
And while Midna is clearly the very best, like no one ever was, I really like Ezlo a lot too (though that could be due to MC being my first Zelda)
YES! I wasted SO much time on the first game, and then was bitterly disappointed when we got a mobile game, so seeing a true second game in the series?! Day 1 buy for me!
I love me some Phoenix Wright, but GT is BETTER than PW! It'll also be on Steam (according to Capcom's website), so I can forcibly gift copies to friends now!
I would really like a return of the Set style battles. They've been there since gen 1 as an option with Shift always being the default, but I prefer using Set and I know a lot of the old school fans like the Set battles. It's honestly not even that hard of a change to make here, Nintendo
I'm going to do what I usually do and pick whatever, then ditch it for the first poison type I can find because I'm obsessed with poison types and my team will most likely end up entirely poison types (especially with the removal of HMs!)
However, I'm picking Quaxley because it's a water type, and Paldean Wooper is now ground/poison, but it CAN have the ability Water Absorb, and I obviously need it to have that ability (I mean, it totally eliminates one of its weaknesses), and picking the water starter will make that easy to find out. I'm hoping Wooper will be an early route Pokemon, it usually is.
Not only is Radiant Historia one of my fav games on the system, but it's one of the best RPGs I've ever played. Sadly, the physical version goes for like, $100, but the digital one is $20 ($10 on sale at the moment)
He might've had to pay more because he needed a seller willing to ship it to where he lives in Brazil (I know a lot of sellers don't deal with international shipping for being annoying.
And damn, I thought spending $60 on an out of print manga vol was bad, I feel so cheap now, lol!
Yes, it's getting a European physical release, but do we know if it's getting a NA physical release yet? Because I've been checking Amazon a few times a day, and it's still MIA in north america
Wahoo! FINALLY!!! An obvious must buy for me, but it's also coming out on other consoles, I must have those versions as well! I'm not sure why, gotta catch 'em all mentality, but if it boosts sales numbers and convinces them to make a Klonoa 3.... I'm also going to buy a copy for my niece, she is almost 10. I think I first played these games when I was like 13.
Also hoping they'll get around to the GBA games (right now, they're on Wii U virtual console, but I, and most people, don't have a Wii U)
This game definitely gave me a new respect for the series. I mean, it's one thing for you to send out a level 3 Shinx to get wrecked by a Snorlax's hyperbeam, but it's quite another for the game to allow you yourself to get wrecked by that same Snorlax. It's like, the giant overworld Pokemon in SwSh were cute and all, but now, that Onix can attack me.
My first death though, was fall damage, I was sure that wouldn't be a thing while on a ride Poke, but nope, it is. But I also got wrecked by some Pokemon here and there.
Can't wait for it! 2022's year of gaming is looking so damn hype (between this, Ai the Somnium Files 2, and Pokemon Legends tomorrow)!
But I must say, I do prefer to play this genre of games on PC. Having the mouse and keyboard is easier for me with these sorts of micromanaging sim games.
I mean, I've only wished for Klonoa remasters and new games in the series every day of my life (and that thing is 2019 being left hanging for two years drove me up the wall!), and maybe also for Klonoa in Smash (please, I'll even take a Mii costume at this point)

Re: Talking Point: What Would Make You Happy To Give Up Physical Games And Go 100% Digital?
Nothing will make me give up physical. The more I see eshops close, digital movies and shows taken away, the more I defend physical media's necessity.
Not to say I don't buy digital games, but usually only when they're really cheap

@FishyS you can just hit Y button when hovering over that pokemon to send it to the top slot of your party, they already have a shortcut for that
Re: Random: The Pokémon Company Celebrates 'ChooseDay' Ahead Of Scarlet & Violet's Release
@CheekyZelda It's never stopped me before! Hapu and Olivia were tough fights, but I love my poison types!

Some of the previously DS only Tales games? (I did quite like Hearts R's Vita remake)
Also, Skies of Arcadia. I just want that remade asap with quality of life improvements.
