Re: Nintendo Japan Confirms an End to Wii Production

I really do think this console would kick so much butt if they made a bundle with Galaxy or SS for developing countries to get them into video games (Also it might be good in a place like brazil, where the PS4 costs 1850 US Dollars )

Re: Talking Point: Marketing Wii U to the Masses

yojo

@Magiick Pikmin 3 kinda filled that need for me, but I do agree that Mario Kart 8 is the first game by Nintendo to REALLY push the Wii U. Wind Waker HD and 3D World look great, but they look like late life 1st party PS3 games. Mario Kart 8, X, and Bayonetta 2 really look next gen.

Re: The Pokémon Company Teases "Special Announcement" On Monday

@KingH3nrry Whoa there sailor, you just said about how @AeroTech made a assumption, and now when people disagree with you, you say they don't like free speech? What in the hell does that have to do with still liking the new generation of pokemon even though they have new and "worse" pokemon. I will admit I don't like some of the new design of pokemon, but that's the whole point of having a lot of them. You are bound to have at least six that you like, and use.

Re: Masahiro Sakurai Rules Out Story Sequences For Super Smash Bros. on Wii U and 3DS

@GamerJunkie ok before you were a kind of elaborate troll, but you have just gone full ignorance now. How about you read the full article before commenting? They are still gonna have a story mode, and it will be diffrent from the one in Brawl (which I personally thought was boring, but classic mode was pretty fun). They are taking out the elaborate cutscenes, which honestly I am fine with. More reasources to go into tighting up the gameplay to near perfection? Awesome. Also why do games need DLC? If its done good, like the Fallout 3 expansions, or New Super Luigi U, both of which strived to offer experiences diffrent from the main game, its awesome. But a lot of companies ruin games with it, and some gamers do think less of a game when it has DLC.

Re: Just 3% of All Ubisoft's Sales Came From Wii U in Q2 2013

yojo

@GamerJunkie Here is the thing though, the last game ubisoft made for Wii U (and really the most recent non DLC thing they have released) came out in december. If people wanted AC3 or ZombiU, they would buy it used because the price will have dropped as it lost that "new game buzz". Also new flash: the Wii U has only sold around 3 million. Compared to the systems that had been out for 7/8 years, thats not as big of a install base, and conbining that with people buying used, its no wonder they only sold 3% on Wii U. I bet you if Rayman Legends came out on Wii U, at least the Q1 and maybe Q2 would be diffrent.

Re: Review: EarthBound (Wii U eShop)

yojo

@GamerJunkie Since when do AAA games come out at 10-15 bucks?! The games are old, and nintendo prices them to be cheaper than retail games so new games can play them, or if someone does not have the space for a lot of systems or other reasons. Plus most games are CHEAPER on the virtual console, than buying them used. Obviously you can resell a physical game, and that's why they keep their value, but most people like games that get high reviews and are on the virtual console. And very few people buy systems new to play old games. People did not buy a PS2 at launch to play PS1 games, they bought for the new features and games! Its a nice extra and no, its not the reason people will buy the system, but why are you complaining about it? It adds value to the product, and considering how expensive Earthbound is on eBay, and the slew of good Wii U games coming out this holiday, it might be enough to push people over the edge to buy a WIi U.

Re: Review: EarthBound (Wii U eShop)

yojo

@GamerJunkie Its funny you say most people have played EARTHBOUND in the last 20 years (only 200,000 SNES carts were made, meaning you either have to be rich, lucky if you got a cart when it was cheap or found one for cheap, speak japanese to get the mother 2 version, or pirate it illegally), but your talking about playing FF7. That game has been out for 16 years, is the 3rd best selling PS1 game with almost 10 million units floating around, and the PC port has been on the Sqaure Enix store for about a year. And ya know how much it costs? 12 bucks. For a game that goes for around 60 bucks on ebay, which is about a third of earthbounds price. So you got it for free, that's steam being awesome, not Square Enix. I don't think either sqaure or nintendo are ripping people off by selling old games, its a great way for people who have not played them to play it for cheap, or people who have to play them with new features like off-tv play.

Re: Review: EarthBound (Wii U eShop)

@GamerJunkie
Nintendo shooting out "fake hype" fans have been asking for this for the better part of half a decade! And up until now Nintendo has been as stubborn as a mule when it comes to Earthbound on VC. And don't even get me started on the whole "its good for a OLD GAME" stereotype.

Re: UK Store GAME Now Selling Original Wii Consoles For Just £35

yojo

@MrSRArter I'm guessing after this holiday season. Pandora's Tower was really the only wii game that came out this year, and with the Wii U being pretty cheap compared to other next gen systems and fully backwards compatible, there is no reason for them to keep supporting it.
