@Duncanballs false. The system runs on outdated memory speeds. It is very slow. It can run some games, but it can't others due to speed. The Deck has 2 hour battery life for more advanced games, and no dock. The OG Switch can do 3-4 hours on big games.

Also, Valve does have a reputation for poor quality control. They also give-up easily on their products. I also don't like that there is no physical option for the Deck.

If you want to buy it and like it, have at it. But, I will laugh at people who think this is a Switch killer. Not in it's wildest dreams.

I did not care for this movie at all. If I want good video game movies I will take detective Pikachu and Sonic movie any day of the week. And I agree that the clock work orange cameo was disgusting and should not have been put into a kids movie.

As long as the game is good then I can enjoy it.

@marktornits Well, being inclusive is trying to tell marginalized groups that they belong, so I get what you are saying, but the pickings of LGBTQ representation in video games is pretty slim.

@Duncanballs i have a very informed opinion. Steam does not have the quality of games that Nintendo does and A FACT NOT AN OPINON. Also, Steam Deck, can't play all Steam games due to slow storage. If you want to play Steam Games, play them on PC. And, Steam itself isn't that stable of a service. That is why Epic Game Store got so popular. Valve's other products don't work that well, there is no deck and the base model is a waste. I could get a Switch, SD memory card and games compared to Deck, were the first decent model, I could afford an PS5 or Series X before I could the Deck. Stop insulting people when you can't make a good argument. That is your fault, not mine.

Why? Look at SMGTV. Announced when switch was first revealed. I HAVE PATIENCE. it was worth it. I want to know about a game that it is announced. Even if it is 5 years away. Because I know it's coming.metroid prime 4 is coming. Bayonetta 3 is coming. I know about them and I would rather know that a great game is being worked on than not. What if the Namco version of meroid prime 4 would have been shown the second it was announced with a trailer. Then nintendo scraps it . Starts over and gives the series back to retro. So many people would whine and cry. But we want that version now. No thanks. I can wait. There are a ton of other great switch games while I wait. When atlas did not show hardly any thing for SMGTV in 2017. I did not mind. Now look how amazing the game looks. So I like knowing about future games . Even if it is 5 years from now. A great game takes time to make. And I would rather know that it is coming than not.

It is free. I like Pokémon. But do not like online games. Will give it a try. If there is a 1 player mode.

Steam dead does not come with a dock. Switch does. Steam dead cannot play all steam games just mobile games.switch can play all switch games. Steam dead has very slow memory and a two hour battery life for some games. Switch smallest battery life is 4 hours. And switch has the games. Steam .ps5 and Xbox series x combined cannot even touch BOTW. MARIO ODYSSEE. XENOBLADE 2. SPLATOON 2 FIRE EMBLEM 3 HOUSES. ANIMAL CROSSING. THE SWITCH has the best games. And just like when the black and white game boy SLAUGHTERED AND DESTROYED the game gear. Horse power .means NOTHING. it is all about the games. And with almost 100 million units sold. Not shipped BUT SOLD. THE switch does what the steam dead don't. Give it up Sony owned media. You cannot beat the switch. THE PS5 DOOR STOP FAILED . AND THE STEAM DEAD PAPER CLIP WILL FAIL AS WELL. And what I mean by failed is that they can not beat the switch with horse power alone. You gotta have the games. And Sony and valve just don't. Have the games. FACT NOT AN OPINION.

@marktornits yes games are but alot of gamers are not . I have a transgender sister and she is constantly harassed by many gamers. So many Sony fans trashed the last of us games because there was a transgender character and yes that is the reason they trashed those games. Some developers were afraid to put transgender people in games because of this. So that is what I was referring to. Trust me. Ask my sister the majority of the male population that she deals with online when she beats some one in smash are very toxic. The problem is bigger than what people think it is.and just read some of the comments on this article.

So, the base system is 400 bucks with 64 GB of memory (not flash), no dock, and no exclusives? It is all digital, and without flash memory, your memory will be eaten up in no time.

At least with the Switch OLED, you get a dock and system. The dock will be around 80-100 bucks. Yeah, this won't do that well.

Nintendo owns the hybrid market anyway.

@liljmoore you are wrong go to their website. battery life has been improved on some games it is up to 9 hours not 7. so there is some new improvements. nintendo never promised 4k graphics that was people like emily rogers. the small improvents were needed. you want major improvements. that will be the switch 2. nintendo would not make a pro unit more powerful than the true successor to the switch.. they are not stupid.

i never listened to the rumors. the switch 2 will be the really big changes. the small improvements are just what the switch needed. glad we got such good improvements.

i am looking very foward to this upgrade. the bigger screen. everything seesms right. if i want 4k and all that other stuff. the Switch 2 is going to be the big upgrade. i am very happy with this.
