Just not a fan of Metroid for whatever reason, and the videos I've seen didn't excite me. May try it sometime in 2026 on a rental or steep steep discount.
I can appreciate the love and passion the developers put in to this game. That said, this was a game I absolutely bought in to the hype, when I knew in my heart of hearts, it wasn't going to be one I would fully enjoy. It certainly had its moments, but after a few hours of playing, I was done. It was not worth the stress and frustration. I don't expect the developers to add difficulty settings, nor should they. As gamers, we need to differentiate between which games are better suited for ourselves. For me, it's Hades 2 and Ball x Pit.
The video of the gameplay above doesn't look half bad. Of course, would love to see it somewhere close to 60.
For the time being, I'll play the 10 hour trial on the PS5 and PC. By that time, I'll pick up the Switch 2 version for $30 or $40 around Black Friday.
@Freek Yeah, I've played a few hours and have enjoyed my time with it. That said, I know the difficulty ramps up big time, and I just don't know if I need that stress. That's when a game starts to become a chore than being fun.

The game is pretty fun, but it seriously needs a Switch 2 update. Heck, it needs an every console update because there is a lot for it to improve on.
