Here's the thing, if SONY released a Hybrid like the Switch and it's as powerful as vanilla PS4, that's a WIN in my book... It's fun playing Mario and Zelda on the go, but could you imagine playing God Of War, Spider-Man, Horizon Zero Dawn etc etc etc. on the GO???

I think people forget that Nintendo told us last Fall that the Nintendo Classic Edition was going to be re-released in Summer 2018... If any of you forgot about that, here's your reminder.

I beat this game, 100% on every area. I just started FUSION MODE and I'm loving it. Good thing I bought those Amiibo. Nintendo really needs to just make that mode FREE.

I didn't own a 3DS until I found out this was coming, so I preordered the SAMUS EDITION 3DS, Special Edition of the game and the Amiibo 2-pack.... I think I have a METROID problem.

Castlevania and Metroid are my two favorite game franchises.

Man.... By the time these WATCHERS start developing a new game for the Switch platform, the next console from Nintendo will arrive... I mean development can take 2-3 years at times... If a company started developing a NEW game for the Switch it would most likely not come out until close to the end of the Switch generation.... This tells you all you need to know, we are going to get ports of games and not anything solely developed for the Switch unless it is 1st party made. Just think about it.....

The person handling social media aspects of this company should be fired on the spot... Those are responses typical of a 12 year old videogame troll and not a professional company selling a product to consumers, pathetic how some devs have become.

Hey, hey, hey, let's not act like we didn't know this kind of bull crap was going to happen. Man, smh. The writing was on the wall in January when the Switch reveal happened.... They took a friggin Wii U, an old Nvidia Sheild Tegra X1 and combined them to give us a Switch, a console that has basically the same graphical power as the Wii U and the already old Nvidia Sheild tablet, some JOY CONS lol (new name for Wii Mote) because that's basically all they are is a new form factor Wii Mote (don't kid yourselves) threw all of that in a plastic dock with HDMI in it for $80.00 hahahhahahahah and boom, The Switch.

Just give me METROID and whatever else Nintendo does I could really give a crap about, and whatever the 3rd party devs do I could give a crap about as well.

Anyone who thinks the Switch is getting NEW 3rd party support from the big boys on top is both dumb and crazy to think that. The only think Switch is going to have is NINDIES and 1st party games.... And all the games that have been coming out are friggin old games, some are 20+ year old coin-op games from the NEO GEO lol.... Pathetic man.

Nintendo straight up took the two games from the Wii U that were not played by the masses because not a lot of people bought the Wii U (Mario Kart 8 and Splatoon) and just tweaked those two games with more content for a Switch release. Let's just be honest, it's blatantly obvious that the Switch was rushed to market.

I love the comments about "it felt just like Splatoon 1, yeah no crap, because it is Splatoon 1, you think they actually made a whole new Splatoon from scratch??? hahhahah NOOOOO. Nintendo needed games for the Switch so they took Splatoon 1 and added a few new arenas and some weapons and there ya go, slap a Splatoon 2 logo on it and call it a day... No one will know the difference lol.

How about those secondary Switch Docks you promised us Nintendo???? Can't even buy them, no links for them on Nintendo's webpage and no retailer has them listed.....

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but all of these developers commenting about their current games that have just launched or will be in the coming months that will not be on the SWITCH is just industry speak for "we want to see if the attach rate of the console is high before we start work on porting" Some developers like the Titan Fall guys are just not willing to dumb down their visions of their games to weaker versions to suite the SWITCH.

Ladies and Gentleman, this is a NON ISSUE, the Switch has been confirmed by Nintendo to use SDXC storage cards with a max capacity of 2TB. Now to figure out how to get them on the cheap.

@Dpullam If you turn on the mobile hotspot on your phone then you can connect to it via Wi-Fi, it's the same thing as long the Switch is able to communicate over that network.

Mobile Hotspots are essentially the same as buying Mobile data for a device through your phone provider.

You can buy a Mobile hotspot and then just connect to it with the Switch.

I am not sure why anyone is making a big deal out of this. Airplane mode just shuts down all of the network radios with a hit of the button as to not interfere with the airplane's navigation equipment during takeoff.... We do this with our phones now.

Nintendo never gives the full scoop and tricks you into buying a system based on hype, then when you finally have that system you realize what a pile of turd it is... That's the Switch in a nutshell

So YES, I will be getting the Switch as I do with every Nintendo console. I LOVE NINTENDO.

I will say this, I'm ok with a Donkey Kong announcement as long as we get a Metroid announcement of some kind.... But If we don't hear a thing about a Metroid game, I may RIOT.

As much as I love Donkey Kong and The DK Country series, it's time to do something entirely different with Donkey Kong, maybe something akin to Super Mario 64.

What's funny is how Nintendo fooled us again by telling us they would still be supporting the Wii U, yeah right, another game and it's online component is now gone!

With nothing on the horizon for Wii U except Zelda, this system is dead.

It would be nice if Nintendo could work with companies like CAPCOM and I hate to say it but KONAMI to obtain some of those IP's that were synonymous with Nintendo, namely franchises that have been lost in the fray like MEGAMAN, it belongs on Nintendo platforms, Castlevania, that also belongs on Nintendo platforms.... I would like to see a resurgence of these classic games on the Nintendo platforms.... Give us GRADIUS, GHOSTS N GOBLINS, LIFE FORCE etc. etc. etc.... I don't care if the are 2D , we need 2D gaming back, it's a lost art form.

Again, January 12th will answer all questions. If this turns out to be true, ask yourselves, do you even care?

I am all for having more power but it won't matter, I'm still buying the Switch and I WILL ALWAYS BUY NINTENDO HARDWARE, been gaming since the OG NES in 1985 and Mario and the rest of the cast are just a must have NO MATTER WHAT.

@LeRaposa I love Nintendo but I don't even think the Switch will catch the Xbox ONE this generation. I don't even think the total sales of the Wii U combined with the total sales of the Switch will pass up the PS4 sales this generation.

@Skunkfish Yeah.... But until the official discussion on January 12th we are only assuming the screen is 720P based off rumors, it might be a 1080p screen, who knows. Let's just wait and see.

@JH64 I think even the Wii-motes are going to work on the Switch.... Here is the explanation to why I think that. Has anyone wondered why a small portion of the Switch tablet sticks out the top of the Switch Dock? I think the top part of the Switch tablet houses an IR sensor similar to the sensor bar of the Wii and Wii U. Anyways, that's just my opinion.

Even YouTuber Super Metal Dave thinks the same and has done a video showing that.

Funny thing is, the company I work for manufactures them for Williams, Konami and Team Play.... Right now we are building Fish Bowl Frenzy and a new game coming out called Launch Code. The ones we are building are ticket ones, as in you win tickets... They look cool and all, but why do they need to use our precious video game franchises to sell them?? It's like spitting on the franchises we all love.
