It's a very good idea i think, now i don't think i'll be using it but people who loves the 3DS and own a Wii U can use it and be quiet handy for them.

it was a very good E3 for Nintendo this year.

He has a good point but most people who bought a wii were soccer moms to play wii sports and not nintendo fans to play games like mario galaxy.

@2Sang so you go by on sales for which console is better, if thats the case then the first ever xbox is better than the dreamcast, (even do its not) and beside the wii u is selling better than the ps4 in japan.

when mario kart 8 comes as wii u outsells ps4 in japan, it would for funny seeing that for what happen over the year when it come with the two consoles.

@Agent721, Wii u is doing bad (mario kart 8 and super smash bros are the only games that can save it) as we speak but Nintendo as a company can make losses like that until 2050 which is 40 years away.

One last thing, This is bad news but not DOOM news if you know what i mean. Sure Sony is doing worst as a company than Nintendo are (Microsoft can go up to .. god i loss count there that rich, just saying) and @Agent721 comparing a third party to first party is well it's works different ok if nintendo where a third party (which will never happen) then would make more then EA and them as well as Sony and Microsoft make more money if they were third partys.

Even if the Wii u fails (don't know yet) Nintendo can keep losing money like that every year to 2050. Don't know the future of the WII u which is doing bad at the moment but Nintendo will be fine.

It's bad news but people will go over the top because of it (Nintendo is doomed). It's sad people lost there jobs but thats the way business goes.

The reasons for these numbers are that there is no must have game now. Thankfully Mario kart 8 is coming which would be a huge help for the Wii U and would be the must have game this year. Along with the 3ds getting games from may to june like mario golf and others. April is just a sleppy month for Nintendo which is not good but when May comes expect things to change around over the games i said.
