Review 1001 Spikes (Wii U eShop)
All your spike are belong to us
Between the broken English text, 8-bit sprites and brutal, unforgiving difficulty, it's easy to think of the Nicalis-published 1001 Spikes as a long-forgotten NES gem. While certainly not for everyone, it's a rich, rewarding (and punishing) addition to the Wii U eShop library. This modern-retro platformer is certainly...

The fun of Spikes! In your hands!
Tough-as-nails platformer 1001 Spikes has earned its share of die-hard (and often) fans. But publisher Nicalis has been listening, and have tweeted that a free update in the...

News 1001 Spikes Creator Believes Trends Are Shifting Back Towards Tough, Challenging Games
"We are at a cusp of a new revolution"
1001 Spikes is available now on the Wii U and 3DS eShop stores in North America, and early noise around the platforming title is that it's pretty darn tough. Retro in looks and, it seems, retro in style, it's sure to endanger 3DS systems and GamePad controllers now that it's nestling on some systems. Though...

About The Game
One Adventurer. 1001 Lives. Can you do it?
Jim Hawkins, the world-renowned archaeologist, has gone missing while exploring the frozen reaches of Antarctica.
Before his disappearance, he entrusted his daughter Tina with a map to the long forgotten ruins of Ukampa Temple in South America, along with a letter warning that death waits behind its every corner.
In that letter, he posed a challenge to his estranged son, Aban Hawkins: to venture forth into the deadly ruins in search of a legendary treasure rumored to lie behind the Golden Door of Poko-Mum.

This had better still be coming out too the 3DS Eshop too.
When I played with the dev two Pax Primes ago, I was under the impression that this was coming out for the 3DS... that and Yatagarasu. Either way, whenever this comes out under whatever name they settle on, I will pick this up.
I bet this will never come to Europe unless some other company that Nicalis takes the publishing rights.
